Congratulations to TIME's Person of the Year [2016]
That caveat is huge. I've been through many recessions in my lifetime. The last one was the only one that actually scared me.

Congratulations to TIME's Person of the Year [2016]
As ginwilly indicated, this was a financial crisis , which is quite different from past recessions.

He was a Dominican Lawyer, and she got caught going trying to take the kids form Haiti to the Dominican Republic. So the reason might have been related to jurisdiction.

Congratulations to TIME's Person of the Year [2016]
The most recent recession was much worse than a number of recessions that preceeded it, though; we were fairly close to a depression. Given the gravity of the situation, it was unlikely than any recovery would be spectacular.

So if you work for Boeing, who had the contract for Air Force One and other government contracts, do you work for the government, or for a private employer' I would certainly argue the latter. And for the audience reading the poster; "works for the government" has a MUCH different meaning than "works for AlertSense, which has government contracts."

Why say that she works for the US government and that she was convicted of kidnapping then, instead of just stating the truth' And again these are only two items in the poster that I was able to refute in 5 minutes of research; I didn't even look into the rest of the content...

No, the kidnapping charges were explicitly dropped; she would have still be serving time in Haiti if they had not been dropped, since that is a serious offense. . But I think the Pizzagate af would have been less sexy if it was stated that Ms. Silsby was convicted of arranging illegal travel.

I think that the fact that she has already served time in Haiti prison (which, since Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, I believe was probably not "white collar" time) and imprisoning an American missionary was probably not a good look intetnationally for the Haiti goverment at the time (especially since this was following the earthquake when they were extremely reliant on other countries for outside aid), resulted in the ultimate dropping of the charges. No doubt that Bill Clinton, was a special envoy for Haiti on behalf on the UN at that time, negotiated extensively ...

Pizzagate poster says she worked for the US government and she was convicted of kidnapping. Neither are true, but you stated they were. Do you understand how someone's credibility can be questioned when they lie about basic facts in a poster that they are promoting as entirely factual'

Here you go. All you had to do was search for "kidnapping" "Despite Silsby’s stated intent to take the children over the border to an unauthorized orphanage and her connections to human traffickers such as Torres-Puello, the courts eventually dropped the kidnapping and criminal association charges against her. Silsby was instead convicted under the additional charge of organizing illegal travel, sentenced to time served (3 months and 8 days), and released on May 17, 2010. In the end, her sentence was based on the least polemic charge against her. Now this is a human rights organization ...

That she doesn't work for the US government, for one, which has already been linked here. And she wasn't convicted of kidnapping, those charges were dropped: I guess "Laura was a missionary from Idaho who got in over her head" would not have fit into the narrative the people who put together that Pizzagate ad were attempting to push... When people get basic facts incorrect, and intentionally try to mislead people based on said "facts" I tend not to believe the rest of what they are peddling.

Donkey bet - what's up with that?
I generally find that, readless, donk bets are, more often than not a sign of weakness and not strength. Though good players use donk betting as a valuable tool in their overall arsenal, many weak players use it as well, with many of those players not even knowing that they are donk betting However, this is why it is so important to take player notes, as some players will donk only very strong hands, some will only donk draws, and others will mix it up by donking when they have a hand and balance their range by donking when they do not have a hand. And, if you know a player is weak, ...

Favorite Christmas Song of all Time?
[QUOTE=Dyzalot;8766832]I like this version better. Have heard many versions of River, but not this one; agree it is quite good. Impressive accomplishment that she could reinvent herself in her 30s as a singer after being a child actress.

iPoker €10BI €750 GTD FT, 6 left, 1st stack vs 2nd!
Thin this is a fold for me. Even if he has a flush draw, you're not that far ahead and there is an extremely short stack at the table, which he knows as well. His stats don't scream to me that he is making this postflop move with air, and I think he has you crushed, or has a flush draw enough of the time, that you can pass here with confidence and find better spots. Since he is a reg, though, I might change my mind here is you think that he might have a read on your play that he is exploiting here....

€2.25+€2.25+€0.50 bounty tournament. AA facing a huge UTG raise.
I generally find that villain's who open this large (22 bb!), believe it or not, actually fold to 3 bets a lot. Plus, with Aces, the LAST thing I want is for this villain to fold, and by piling a ridiculous amount of bbs yourself, villain is probably folding just about everything. Thus, I prefer flatting to be honest; unlikely anyone else is going to come along for 22 bbs, so you will be heads up with aces vs. the fish, which is where you want to be, imo. Let me guess-- she had A-K'
