Today's FTP Update
I think tourneys like the FTOPS main are precisely the tourneys where people that can afford it should buy all their entries at the beginning. It's going to be so rare in a field that big that you ever have to merge and give up equity. Online tourneys with a $500k first prize are pretty few and far between. This gives you 6 chances instead of 1 of that big payday. For sure if there are 5 different equally good structured, equally profitable tourneys where you have the same potential for a big payday running at once, you should play each one instead, but that's not the case. Thoughts on a hand from the 8.80 16k on Stars...
Limp pre is awful awful awful...Fold or shove...You have a great stack for shoving on all these limps but not the best hand for it imo...Id usually just fold pre here, maybe it's an opportunity I'm missing. Flop is fine, you're not going anywhere.

legitimate question on thought process
Why say don't highlite the buyin when that could very well explain the reason you were called' Obviously there isn't a legitimate reason if reasons like he doesn't care or he is incompetent (reasons why he might be playing a $1.50 tourney) can't be used.

He never has AA and might never have JJ here...that's player dependant obv. but you can definitely assume that for set combos, 55 would be the most likely. There's also two pair combos in his value range that you kill, so yes, you definitely gotta assume you're ahead and get more $$$ in the pot!

Norman Chad is really getting annoying
I still laugh a bit, but definitely not as much as past years. His jokes / style of jokes get to be really repetitive. I still watch all the WSOP episodes but it is my least favorite poker show that I do still watch, especially compared to the big televised cash games etc. that show more hands / talk thought process etc.
