Meanwhile the Mets pitched the 26 scoreless innings and immediately give up 6 RBI's to Ty Wigginton. Manny Acosta (who has been by far the worst reliever on the Mets all year) gave up a 3-run bomb to Wigginton. The PR guy at Citi Field played the Undertaker's theme song as they pulled him from the game. It's funny because he's totally getting DFA'd after the game. Rest in peace.

It's definitely a work. Brock did a storyline in WWE where he "quit" (they needed to write him off for a few months because his contract only had a limited number of dates in it). This is just to sell the storyline further. Re-listen to that Dana White interview; nothing he says would lead you to believe this isn't a work. First of all, he contradicted himself a few times (i.e. he was lying/acting). Community
I really liked season 1 and 2, but they completely jumped the shark in season 3. They just tried way too hard to be edgy, but it just came off really weird most of the time. Community kind of reminds of an artist who slowly builds a cult following by doing something abstract, but rather than evolve from his ideas, he constantly has to do something else that hasn't been done before (and loses his mind in the process). I'm kind of curious to see if the show "normalizes" without Dan Harmon. NBC is clearly going to try to change something with the show to offset the rapidly declining ratings. I ...

Dickey had 1 bad start this year on Atlanta when it was raining and he said he couldn't grip the ball properly. If you take out that 1 start, his ERA this year is 1.87 with a 9.0 K/9. His ERA in 3 years with the Mets is 3.12. His career ERA in 7 seasons before joining the Mets was 5.48. And to top it all off, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in the off-season. He's quietly been baseball's 2nd best renaissance story the last 3 years (Joey Bats right').

It's funny to think of how deep NL catcher has been this year yet McCann, Montero, and Molina won't even get any AS consideration. I think right now Ruiz starts the ASG backed up by Lucroy, with Ellis and Posey (in that order) having a shot to get in as well. The popularity vote will probably screw the whole thing up though, and we'll end up with McCann starting with Ruiz backing up.

LaHair's BA has come down like 80 points in the last week and a half or so, so the regression is already in progress. They're saying Rizzo will be called up no later than their next interleague series where they'll need a DH (which I believe is 1st week of June). I'm guessing they'll put LaHair in RF, Dejesus (Manalapan, NJ's only pro athlete!) in CF, and move Campana to the bench. I don't think they'd get nearly enough in trade for him that they'd move him (and esp. not inter-division). I was thinking the same thing you were watching the Pirates game today. Batista has been about as outspoken as any former wrestler about how much he hates what the WWE has become. I'll give you my 1st born if he shows up tonight. They'll probably just do the Big Show turn that "nobody" sees coming. I'll catch the stream just for the Punk/Bryan match. Maybe Vince will try to swerve internet marks everywhere by making that match 20 seconds too.

This is pretty funny: Keith Hernandez (who does commentary for the Mets) was for some reason sitting behind home plate while doing commentary for tonight's game. When Joey Votto was in the on deck circle, he basically trolled him by starting a conversation with him right in the middle of the game. Video is here: Saw Aroldis Chapman pitch for the first time tonight. I know I'm stating the obvious but wow is he fucking FILTHY. Lol @ Dusty wasting him in the 8th inning role.

With 3 runs tonight, the Pirates have finally reached 100 runs scored on the season. The fact that they are only 1 game under 500 is pretty fucking ridiculous. The next 2 lowest teams are Minnesota with 120 and SD with 114. Those 2 teams are 14 and 12 games under 500 respectively.
