The NFL's top 100 players
The Colts have had ONE pick in the top 20 of the draft since 2000...so to say they are "surrounding him with #1 picks" is a flawed statement. It's not like they are picking in the top 10 every year and creating a Detroit Lions like talent pool. 2001- Reggie Wayne 31st 2002- Freeney 11th 2003- Clark 24th 2004- No 1st rounder 2005- Jackson 29th 2006- Addai 30th 2007- Gozalez 32nd 2008- No 1st rounder 2009- Brown 27th 2010- Hughes 31st Are you faulting Manning for the Colts drafting well' Because that is ridiculous to do. Everyone said "Oh it's just because he has Harrison" and look what ...

So according to Blonde Phoenix shouldn't show up after completely outplaying Detroit for 60 minutes in their own barn in game 6'' Did you call them to tell them they lost already' I think they'd like to know. And the west boring'' Maybe if you stayed up to watch some of the games you'd realize that the West >>>>>>>>>>> East. The West games have been unreal...and will only get better with Chicago v Vancouver coming up, these guys hate each other.

LMFAO at the moron who said Price will a top 3 goalie of all time! Just LMAO. Price MAY be really really good. Price may be a total bust. Price will not ever be on the same level as 2 of the top 5 goalies of ALL TIME! The Shaq .gif is perfection for that post. Ok and if you're going to try to debate the first Lappy diving call please attempt to do that' When a guy gets tapped, turns and smashes himself face first in the glass what do you expect' The guy has a reputation for diving why would he get calls from the refs'' What Dan Carcillo in round 2 and tell me how many calls he's ...

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
You honestly think Phoenix will not be a franchise next year' Straight out the blue they are going to pick up and move to Winnipeg'' I didn't say Phoenix would never move, you said "you can keep the title for a couple months" there is NO WAY Phoenix moves before next year. Build an arena (lol if you think the MTS Centre is a suitable NHL arena 15,000 fans lmao), wait your time and take the franchise over. Phoenix only twice in their existence has averaged under 14,000 fans; Winnipeg's average attendance from moving-1990: 11,300, 13,000, 13,300, 13,500, 12,900, 12,900, ...

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
Oh everyone loves the Habs again after tonight. After giving no shot to win everyone is back on the bandwaggon. Personally I hate it; I'm a realist I have an opinion on the team and it usually doesn't change much. Washington lost only 8 home games all year in regulation or overtime (11 total losses, 3 in a shootout). The fact that Montreal is 2-1 @ the Verizon Center is unbelievable, winning 2 games is something I never game them a shot at doing. But to hail them as guaranteed series winners after being up 4-1 in game 2, to throwing the team under the bus after the two games ...

Re:Best $30 I have ever spent (golf related)
I have a lot of friends who are Assistants and Teaching Pro's and they would appreciate the praise you give them on here. You can spend all the money you want on clubs, balls, gadgets and gizmos; bottom line is if you can't swing properly none of it matters. Glad to see you have a refined confidence.

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
I personally have and still do like Price. I think he's going to be a great goalie in this league. I however know for a fact he won't do that in Montreal. This city is murder for prospects. They hold them so high on a pedestal they can't do anything but fail. People expected Price to be the second coming of Roy, and he showed signs in his rookie season...that was his downfall. He was so good in that playoff run, that people thought this kid was the next Roy...I think being a mentally unstable guy (which we all know from the outbursts, weird actions, etc.) and having the ...

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
So my "choker" has to: Consistently produce 45 win season and 100+ points/year At least 3 Superstars -Superstar to me is anyone who: Has won a major offensive Trophy (Hart, Art Ross, Richard, Conn Smythe) in the last 5 years, been a finalist for any of those trophies in the last 3 years. Finished top 10 in goal scoring, or top 20 in points. For Goalies; finalist for Vezina in last 5 years, GAA under 2.50, SV% over .910. Obviously taking in account for both: age, status of career, etc. Have won a President's Trophy or amass the most points in their Conference during the ...

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
Your bias being a Sharks fan is almost comical to their playoff failure. When you average ONE HUNDRED AND NINE points in 5 seasons and don't make it to the Conference Final, your team is a bunch of guys who can't get it done. Think in other sports, think if the Yankees never made it to the ALCS, if the Lakers never made it to the West Final. No one in their right mind would say "oh you know they haven't lost in the first round yet, so i guess their fine". Almost every major media outlet; entire TSN panel, Hockey Central panel of Sportsnet, Pierre Leburn on ESPN, has ...

How can a team who consistently makes the playoffs and averages 107 points over the last 5 years...who's never made it to a Cup Final not be considered a choker' Imagine if Detroit never made a Cup Final the past 5 years, or won a Cup... Detroit went 8-1 vs Columbus and Chicago in last years playoffs, both teams in their division. They also beat that Anaheim team... Good teams find ways to win regardless of who they play, do you think it's a mistake that you see so many teams advance year after year after year' Just to give you an example post lockout there has been 5 seasons and ...

Re:Sharks Vs. Avalanche Stanley Cup Playoff Thread
the Heatley videos are the greatest thing going in hockey "fun" next to the green men in Vancouver. Hilarious, the commentators on CBC and TSN keep joking around about them too which cracks me up. Dave Hodge said something along the lines of "I choose Dany Heatley because he's a superstar" in reference to the videos during the TSN playoff draft, which cracked me up. I'm also guessing that not one American who doesn't get TSN will have any fucking idea what I just said either. Oh and like I said long ago (midway through game 4 lol): This series is fucking ...

I was out all night but would just have to point a few things out... It's well known Kobe is a dick...but can you imagine if Kobe spit water at a kid during pregames' The uproar that would bring' Carey Price is a fucking loose cannon, guy is more mentally unstatable than Lindsay Lohan... his "slash" on Backstrom was nothing more than a love tap, let's be honest, it was something you NEVER ever do, it was gutless and wrong, but it's not like he hacked him even remotely hard, Backstrom didn't even react. The puck shooting was puck shooting, I've gotten the puck ...

Scotty Bowman's name is on the Stanley Cup 11 times: 9 times as Head Coach 1 as a consultant with Detroit in 2008 1 as Director of Player Development in Pittsburgh in 1991 Only head coach in the history of the NHL, MLB, NBA and NFL to win Championships with 3 different teams. My problem with Belicheck (other then being a Colts fan) is the OP saying 1990-now. If he said 2000-now I'd put him at the top of the list no doubt. Going by the full 20 years: 1. Bobby Cox 2. Coach K 3. Gregg Popovich

Bobby Cox won 14 Division Titles in a row, with 88 wins being the low wins total in that time and a World Series. He's my pick.

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
So here is my beef with Ovechkin. He fully knows how popular he is. I mean it's fantastic that he has unreal passion and wants to win extremely badly every time his team steps on the ice. He wants to be the best, and rightly so he is. He has done everything asked of him from the NHL and the Washington Capitals and has single handily saved that franchise. I always see him doing community work, fundraising events, etc. in his Caps jersey. So that's the side I like...this is what I don't. He's a fucking tool. Ok sure jump on the glass, celebrate when you score a goal, but when ...

How fucking huge was this' Not only for tying the series up 2-2 and winning game 4, but for Luongo's confidence, his teams confidence in him and the fans confidence in him' (not that it was low, but I mean everyone obviously had some ''s) That's one of those saves that can turn a whole team around and get them to the next level. The LA/VAN series may be the best series I've seen post lockout. It's pretty close, defiantly the best first round series I can remember in a long time. With that being said, HOLY FUCK SHIT, the NHL does not take a night off. There has not been ...

So...not to step in on your piss war or anything but... I went to game 7 of Detroit vs Anaheim last year, and I went to game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. Sat in section 225a for both games...About the 10th row for the game 7 vs Anaheim and about 5 rows from the press boxes for game 5. My exact ticket prices as printed on the ticket are: $165 $225 That should end any debate about anything.

Re:*NHL Playoffs Round 1* Official discussion*
So I actually am wondering where Nashville would rank with the "rest" of the NHL. I'm going to take out the 6 Canadian teams, because playoffs in Canada are on a whole other level in terms of fan craziness (see Red Mile, Whyte Ave). Buffalo is 50% Canadian fans, so they are put high. Minnesota is hockey mad,Chicago is fucking nuts, Philly is in the same boat, Boston gets the nod as well. I'm pretty sure a team who is overlooked every year and we rarely hear anything about is near the top 10 in the NHL in terms of playoff fan craziness. I have to say I am shocked at the ...
