Does this mean they'll give me my money ??? I was in 4th out of 5 players in an 18-man SNG and was disconnected. Tried to reconnect and was denied access to my account.... I think FTP owes me 4th place money and possibly my entry as well... The whole tourney was sluggish, with people disconnecting and others sitting out. Here's the email I got: Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker. This is an auto-generated message to confirm that we have received your e-mail and a representative will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible. Re(7): I told them I had AA and they both called :) Yeah... with that much of their stacks already in the pot, they were right to call. And.... you actually sucked out on the guy with 77... As for announcing your hole cards... You might want to refrain from doing that. Just bad ethics... MF Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Cash game players are BETTER than Tournament players! I'm a winning small-stakes cash player that likes to try tourneys, but can't seem to hit a decent score. Check Sharkscope and OPR, I STINK at tourneys. I don't know if one is better than the other... As was said before, there's different strategies to each game. Some people just have a strategy/mentality that is better sooted (pun intended) for one or the other. I would say that the better players CAN do well at both... Chip Reese is a prime example. Re(1): chip leaders--- 8 out of 10 sounds a little high. But, I've seen favorites lose many times live also. The other night I was dealt in the SB in a live tourney. One limper to me and I raise 4X the BB. The BB call my raise and the limper folds. Flop comes up . I lead out with a 1/2 pot bet. BB calls. Turn is a . I bet the pot and BB calls. River is and I'm all-in. BB calls and flips over . I asked why he called my bets and he said he was sooted. It's sometimes a case of someone being in a hand they shouldn't be in. If the sites were rigged, the losers most likely wouldn't keep depositing, thus causing ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(8): This is why Poker Stars is the number one poker site. A must read! Ok... not to add more fuel to the fire... BUT..... We're talking about a boyfriend and girlfriend here. What's to say that the screen names, Frostey and Aimerif, weren't being played by the same person in the same room on two different computers' If someone was going to cheat like this, a girlfriend would be the most trustworthy person to open an account and make sure you get your money. That way they wouldn't even have to do transfers online. Just cash out and hand over the cash. Sounds like Frostey and Amy ARE THE SAME PERSON. MULTI-ACCOUNTING = CHEATING Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I come up with total winnings of $2644 Total buy-ins come out to $2255 Leaving a profit of $409 And a ROI of 18.1% Good job.... Keep up the grinding.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): cash games and buying short? The best way you can make money by buying in short is to combine it with the hit-n-run. Once you win a hand or two, you're stack is not short enough to be as "effective". Pick up your money and get onto another table with the short stack. Do this until you have hit every table at that limit. Take a 15 minute break. Whack off, and start all over again. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Poker gods KNOW when you are playing above your BR! Seems like when people play above their BR they tend to play scared... Miss a few pots that they would have stayed in for had the stakes been a little more affordable. And at the same time, they'll tend to get 'married' to a big pair and try to make up for the chips they should have won. Thus, losing to the occasional 2 or 3 outer. I myself used to be guilty of this mistake. Now I stay down where I belong (for now). Congrats on the FT's SC..... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Minimum Bet, Large Pot Could mean so many things. My first guess: early position - is they are trying to entice calls or raises to build a pot for the monster that they have just flopped. Another guess would be that they are holding a small to mid pocket pair and are set-mining after missing the flop, hoping to connect on the turn or to have the remaining players fold to them. I've seen it happen both ways. Depending on what my hole cards are, sometimes I'll look at it as a cheap call to see another card before deciding where I think I stand in the hand. -MF Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): 24$ mmt's at FT I actually played in my first ever $24 MTT last night... (and cashed... 111th in the 19K Guarantee... woohoo!!!) Being mainly a micro NL cash player, I was surprised as well at the number of players that tossed chips around with KQ and other non-premium holdings. Like Bombo said... they were my friends all the way to the bubble and 42 places after it. Just tell those players "NH" and hope they keep doing it... GL -MF Posted in: Poker Discussion |
