dispute between me and bakes
My bad, I was mistaken about verbal contracts being legally binding. Thank you for setting me straight (and a good lesson on thinking before speaking). I think we agree on the larger point, that Bakes is not obligated to pay Matt anything.

dispute between me and bakes
I know I'm nobody but since you asked for an unbiased opinion, here it is: You're being unreasonable. Even if a verbal agreement was legally binding (which it is not), you violated the agreement when you failed to pay for the action within the agreed upon period. As with any contract, when one party breaches the terms, it is the other party's right to void the contract. As much as you may think your reputation should be enough collateral in lieu of actual payment, it is not. From a legal standpoint, you're completely in the wrong. Ethically speaking, I would say you are as well since you ...

Poker Stars has an Anti-Cashout Policy!
A more accurate title might be "Pokerstars has an anti-fraud policy." I've never had a problem withdrawing from Pokerstars, perhaps because I only have one account and haven't done anything shady. It's pretty lol how many people start threads to complain about situations they themselves have created.

1010 EP in 11$ 12k gtd stars facingf 3 bet middle stages
SICKTIGHT really hits the nail on the head. Always have a plan. When you call his 3-bet preflop you put yourself in a really difficult position. You make things worse when you make a tiny stab at the flop. Personally, I think preflop is read-dependent. I can see myself 4-betting all in here if I've A) folded to 3-bets a couple times recently or B) seen villain 3-bet wide. If I'm ever flatting here it's because I think villain will spaz on any flop. Bottom line though, ask yourself why you're doing something before you do it.

what line do you take here?
Totally read dependent. In a $10 tournament, players generally aren't great at balancing their ranges or playing different stack sizes. So, if these guys had been real active and/or weak, I'd shove. If they'd seemed at all competent I'd strongly consider folding. Flatting is your worst option.

AA on dry flop $162
I called figuring my line would induce a lot of thin value bets. Somewhat as I expected, villain had hit his set on the flop. If I'm not being results orientated though, I like my line. Just curious how some of the regs play this hand. Thanks for the input.

AA on dry flop $162
Just curious how others play this. I just moved to the table and have no reads. Does anyone think the river is a call' The villain insta-checked the flop and I had a sick sense he'd flopped his set. Obviously I'm a fish then for calling the turn but I'd be interested in what others think is the optimal line. Thanks. Top set in Warm-up facing gross overshove - what to do????
Tough fold. I agree with others that these gross overbets are usually the nuts but I just can't see what hand he plays this way that beats you other than 98cc or AKcc. If he's bad I can see him spazzing with 1010/JJ here just as often as he's holding the nuts. I think you played the hand optimally and I probably call in most cases against an unknown villain.

help me fix this leak plz
I'd say don't bet your flush draw, especially on this board and especially because you were reraised pre. If you're intent on drawing, I'd check call. At these stakes you're likely to still get paid if the flush hits so I don't think you sacrifice any value playing it th way, with the added benefit of seeing the turn cheaper.

What's your calling range vs Gags30?
There are sixteen left. My table image is likely weak/tight because I haven't been opening much and I've folded to all 3-bets when Gags has been at my table. In the previous orbit I 3-bet an ep raiser from mp and folded when Gags 4-bet all-in from the sb. Also, I have bad stats and am probably considered a fish. Given my table image, how light is Gags doing this and can I ever call with AJ' PokerStars Game #34813089530: Tournament #208010857, $100+$9 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level XXI (4000/8000) - 2009/11/02 0:36:36 ETTable '208010857 98' 9-max Seat #3 is the button Seat ...

Is Sharkscope's data collect method Legal in the USA?
If your concern is about the integrity of the game, I don't think Sharkscope's tournament tracking has too huge an effect. Essentially all it tells you is whether another player is a winner or a loser, and by how large a margin -- information a perceptive player should be able to recognize from an opponent's play (I'm hardly ever surprised when I Sharkscope someone). I think tracking software potentially has a much greater effect on the integrity of the game because it provides information on players' tendencies that the user of the HUD hasn't necessarily observed on ...

$12 180 hand - 66 in the bb with 13bbs facing mid pos raise from reg
MrPaintball is way better at these than me, but I fold unless I've seen villain raise/fold before. I much rather open shove the top 30% of hands mp/lp than ship it in here, regardless of whether this guy's a reg or not. I mean, if he's a reg he's not folding and you're flipping at best (I assume a reg is going to open shove 22-88) and a donk is still going to call with a range you're flipping against. I think if you have decent push/fold knowledge flipping here isn't necessarily $+ev. But if I've seen villain raise/fold before I'm shipping pretty wide here.

Petition/discusion: WPT to NOT use the word "gamble"
This is a very smart point and very much in the interest of poker players. Terminology has a huge impact on public perception (just look at how much money Frank Luntz gets paid to think up nice terms for bad things) - dropping the use of "gamble" from their broadcasts would definitely be of benefit to the WPT and the larger poker community.

Endgame help needed/ 21k FullTilt
Thanks for all the input. I shoved the flop thinking that a lot of the time I take the pot there, and most the other times I'm called I have at least about a 40% chance to win. He snap called with AA and the turn and river blanked. I was just wondering if I got myself into a situation I didn't need to. In the end, I think a lot of the time I'm winning the hand as played. Someone suggested playing it more passively -- calling in position and getting away from it if the turn blanked. I'm just trying to learn how far to push edges/perceived edges leading up to the FT. I want to ...

I'm 3/23. Table has been pretty timid, not a lot of 3-betting. I haven't been out of line. Original limper doesn't strike me as a strong player. I'm tying to learn how to switch gears and build a stack going into the FT. $12 180 Turbos-who's the best?
Book's super solid, but unless you know push/fold to a science, his style is probably pretty difficult to play. The times I've played with him, he's been hyper aggressive, which works when you know the game well, but maybe not the best to learn from.
