Family searching for former online poker player (with a twist?)
The only thing that is missing from the OP is "For these reasons, we have no choice but to welch on any or all of our staking agreements."

Feedback wanted on stats to improve lowstakes cash results
attempt to steal is too low, should be prob at least 35% fold to steal is too high, doesnt appear that youre defending your blinds enough. just two things i noticed immediately, id imagine if those were corrected, you'd see a decent increase in your win rate over a larger sample.

Game Selection Advice Needed - $50nl FR v. $50nl HU?
I mass table 100nl fr on full tilt. With that said, if you are risk averse and that is your primary concern, full ring would be the best option as it would allow you to play the maximum amount of tables possible. Even if your rakeback might be better in the short-term in the specific situation you provided, your potential to increase more tables at full ring will be much higher than compared to hu tables. Also, from what I've read, the rake at 50nl / 100nl hu is much more of a detriment compared to higher buyins. The only reason I'd advocate heads up play is that it will definitely put you ...

The skill level in cash games
Hey six, what these guys are saying is true. It would be possible to make $25/hr at 25nl. However, this would be absolutely crushing those stakes and would beg the question, why are you not playing higher stakes' If you play 100k hands and are beating 25NL over $20/hr, I don't think anyone in this thread would doubt you. Also, in general, player's hourly rates improve when the amount of tables is increased (up to a certain point). I'd recommend you work on experimenting with more tables. Finally, I wouldn't recommend messing around with 50NL until you have a $1500 bankroll at an absolute ...

Bodog is going to block SS, pokerDB other sites... and HUDS. who is next?
This guy wins... Banning HUDs and such on Bodog wont have nearly as a dramatic effect on the company's profitability as it would on sites like stars and ftp. This holds especially true for cash games. Regardless of whats good for the game, the main sites will never do this unless they are forced to by regulation.

When FTP gets their processing fixed....
a word of advice to those with bank transfer withdrawal problems: email ftp if you havent already (in a respectful manner) and tell them you really need the funds. I had this issue with a bank transfer in late november and asked them if they could just wire it to my account instead as i had been waiting beyond the normal period. I received my funds in 5 business days after.

Today's FTP Update
I took this post from 4, but i pretty much agree with everything that was said: I have been a loyal customer for awhile now and I play a very high volume. I am VERY disappointed with this new "rewards" program that has been installed. After implementing this new black card program you changed the rackback method so now I am receiving less money and less ironman medals. Quite the coincidence that these changes were made on the same day. And the cash bonuses in the store are WAY over priced and I also take a rackback hit there too when I purchase them. So now instead of buying myself ...

Today's FTP Update
As mainly a low stakes FR cash grinder, this is more like getting "fired" than a promotion. Im rewarded for MGR of around 5k a month by getting less in rakeback''''''' What an absolute joke and a slap in the face. With stars recent changes, I dont see myself on FTP much longer.

FTP points and rakeback
id imagine the same conversion rate applies regardless of what rakeback affiliate you use, but .005 cents is deducted from your MGR per point you spend. hope this helps

Playing online poker without the aid of tools
for tournaments, i dont really see how using a hud could hurt. for cash games, especially those who multitable, it is absolutely vital and those not using it are at a HUGE disadvantage. anyone that thinks otherwise is completely wrong.

Re:Cash game goals
as someone who has put in volume at 50nl and 100nl playing a similar amount of tables (12 to 16), if your bb/100 is 2 or greater through 200k hands then you can definitely start taking shots at the next buyin level. it seems smart to slowly increase the amount of tables for the higher level mixed with your old level until you are comfortable. i would say if you are running at 5bb/100 thru 200k hands with 12tables+, you are officially crushing those stakes and are probably also running well.

Re:Adderall Feedback Thread
While that may be true, adderall is an upper while alcohol is a downer. Uppers + Downers = bad news since they tell your heart to do two opposite things. Sure you can pop an adderall and drink a couple times, but mixing substances produces a synergistic effect. One time you do it you could feel great but the next time could cause dangerous heart conditions such as tachycardia which can be very scary.

I haven't read this thread in its entirety, but after the nionio incident I vowed never to play on UB/AP ever again. This development only enforces the decision. Just provides the opposition with more ammo against online poker. Fuck UB, they are an embarassment to the online poker industry.
