I was with verizon for around 8 years the last part of 2007 i started dropping calls all the GD time. Tried different phones had the techs look at it etc nothing seem to work. I eventually got pissed and started looking into other carriers. Apparantly verizon uses a different network/frequency/whatever it is called than anyone else. My personal opinion is they are behind the times in reference to technology. Keep in mind i am an idiot. I now use AT&T as my provider and have not had any problems so far and it is also cheaper. B........i have said this many years.......bring back the POLL TAX and incorporate a test of candidate knowledge before you are allowed to vote. someone can pay the "I will work for food" guys that stand on the corner 20 bucks to go register and vote in any election. Dont think that doesnt happen.

Brian i agree if it reaches an airspeed for VR it will fly 100% without a doubt. BUT the way i read this is that the conveyor belt matches the speed of the plane meaning that the airplane remains static and has no airspeed it will not fly.

I know an airplane isnt a car. i have ran on a treadmill and there is no air resistance. all the thrust from the engines are doing is holding the plane in place the same as if u stood on a treadmill with roller skates and didnt move there is not any wind in ur face the wing will not produce any lift and i will bet u on this as long as we agree the force of the thrus is equal to the the amount of force required to keep the airplane "static" as the belt moves beneath its wheels. (being a aerospace engineer i am sure u know what static means)

new thoughts it will not take off. think of this if the airplane is held by a rope and the wheels roll the airplane will not take off because there is no airspeed. now lets replace the rope with the thrus from the engines of the airplane the plane still remains in place on the conveyor belt but still has no airspeed. REDO i also agree with brian as long as the engines are providing thrust the plane will take off because the thrust is pushing on air creating airspeed the same as it would if the plane was rolling down the runways. all you are doing with the conveyor belt is causing the plane to not go anywhere in relation to the ground but in relation to the air the plane is moving. ur just creating a wind tunnel without a wind tunnel.

if the planes parking brake is set and the conveyor is moving in the correct direction it will fly same as a catapult on an aircraft carrier. a plane cannot fly without airspeed.

a plane can only fly if it is moving through the air. a plane sitting on a conveyor belt will not fly if is sitting stationary on a conveyor belt and there is no TAS (true airspeed: how fast an airplane is actually moving through a mass of air). an airplan can fly in a 200mph wind if it is sitting stationary cause the airplane actually has a TAS of 200mph which is fast enought to create enough lift to allow any airplane i have ever flown or heard of.
