Pondering promotions for future If every major casino had their own online poker site then yes there would be good promotions everywhere I would imagine. Although I doubt they will match what you've seen from the offshore sites. Posted in: Poker Sites |

UB and Absolute are gone, gone... gone? For the most part you said nothing new and then asked if any of us know the current situation...geeeze. Negreanu is cool but he has a loud mouth, who cares really. What even matters anymore other then the next days news'...we just have to wait and see. So let's wait and see Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full tilt poker - watch out non US Players How is it so hard to comprehend that so many people are cashing out right now out of fear of losing their money that it will now take longer then it ever has before to process your withdrawals' Posted in: Poker Sites |

Bear with me because I know this is completely absurd but... Fair enough. I see what you mean and I do in fact understand that. But you are making A LOT of assumptions. I said that Ub's actions could imply that they are having financial struggles. You seem to believe the money is already gone...that is a huge leap. I've said this before but these businesses just took a huge hit...it's hard to maintain business as usual. I understand what Stars is doing and I respect it very much. Stars is above UB that is a given. But that doesn't necessarily mean just because UB and Full Tilt haven't followed suit yet that they are automatically broke. That would be ... Bear with me because I know this is completely absurd but... Are you kidding with this' Rake doesn't give them anything'... That is ridiculous. Clearly you despised UB even before all of this and that's fine but that point is beyond terrible. Obviously UB messed up with the super-user scandal and there are a lot of sides to that but that incident is nowhere near what this thread is about. What I am saying is...playing there doesn't really hurt anything. ESPECIALLY if you're a winning player. What can it really hurt' You win money against soft fields and we end up getting paid is best case. You win some money and we never get paid, oh ok well I lost my ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Bear with me because I know this is completely absurd but... Insanely low player volume'' It's wayyyyy more then any site besides the big 3 ever had previous to Black Friday....And it's fair to assume those sites were making money. Maybe not bucket loads like stars or ftp or even UB but they wouldn't have stayed in the business if they weren't. At this moment UB has over 9,000 players playing...That is nowhere close to INSANELY low. Now imagine if so many of us who had previously decided to wait it out joined in. That in turn would draw more non-US players.....The point is, it's something not nothing. I personally have no problem putting in work if I ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Bear with me because I know this is completely absurd but... as UB/AP players shouldn't we just go ahead and play on the site in order to help them generate rake'' Isn't that the fear' That UB can't pay us because they don't have the money' Listen I know it is completely outrageous to think that we would have to fund a poker site simply in hopes of getting our own money back (paying for OUR own money') but what choices do we have' If what we fear does happen then there is absolutely no recourse for us, no law to protect us, and nothing that says we will ever be made whole. Which obviously we wouldn't. Our money would be dead. So shouldn't we just ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Back Taxes? [QUOTE=tyson219;6286873]Someone with a legal degree should comment, but I don't believe the DOJ can legally share this information with non-parties. I don't believe the IRS/Treasury is a party (i.e., the plaintiff is the DOJ and not the entire US Govt.), thus the IRS won't even have access to this information. That's what I was wondering about... about Absolute poker s future Oh it's definitely their responsibility to pay you upon request...and haven't they always' But given the recent circumstances is it that unreasonable for a business to have some problems with efficiency' Is it really fair to assume that a mid-level poker site should be able to handle, survive and thrive right on through this HUGE department of justice case' Wouldn't any less then top of the line business have some significant struggles if practically everything they had was shut down just last week' As poker players we have a tendency to implement a woe is me attitude so quickly...even if ... about Absolute poker s future What if it's because they just satisfied most if not all of their micro grinders requests''...I mean I have no earthly idea if that's why they did it but if we did happen to see the glass half full then wouldn't it be fair to assume that by coming back with the 250/week cashout they at least made several thousand micro/low-limit players happy' I dunno. I mean...I think it's better then no cashouts at all if we're talking about them generating traffic, which technically is still their job to do... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Is Full Tilt blocking all US-created accounts? Well the guy that called you stupid is most likely an acne faced hoodie wearing douche. It's a common look in the poker community. Just as rude is a common style here. MUpokerplayer gave you a courteous response knowing full well you were a beginner player and didn't know much about the online poker scene because he has class...Some poker players are good people....but many on here are just lookin for any reason to flame someone for any comment that may be perceived as naive...I wouldn't worry too much about what people say to you on here. Has anyone been able to explain why UB/AP is still truckin along? I would imagine Euros can't cash out right now because UB would be broke if they took all their money off at once. But UB is not hiding the fact that you can't cash out. They are telling everyone who asks the same thing. Consistently. Right now they're just gonna run their business and if you would like to play knowing that you currently cannot cash out then by all means come on down. If not, move along. The only thing you can really lose is your time spent playing. What if this gets worked out and you could have been playing the whole time with weaker tournament fields and softer cash ... Has anyone been able to explain why UB/AP is still truckin along? Fair enough. On friday I lost my job and most all of my money. I had just recently had a plan to put more money on all three sites so that I could have great table select options for cash games at any time of the day. Great timing huh. Had two checks on the way before it all went down but their gone I assume. It's my fault for leaving myself so badly off as far as on hand cash is concerned, but I guess it's left me more sensitive then most when it comes to all of this. So that's why I commented in that manner, and my comment like yours wasn't really only at one person it was at the many ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Has anyone been able to explain why UB/AP is still truckin along? Be positive idiot. This isn't a time for everyone to flame everybody for every misstep or repetitive post. People have lost their jobs, their money and for many it's both. Their scared and are just looking for answers and not everyone keeps up with the forum on a daily, hourly, minute to minute basis so they don't know for sure what has been repeated a million times or never been asked. Be fuckin patient with people. Bad beats and losing sessions are nothing compared to what poker players are facing right now, and let's face it most of us as professionals have never really known truly hard ... If it's been explained or at least discussed in a somewhat knowledgeable manner I must have missed it and I apologize...but really what are they doing' I mean it's kinda funny really in a world where Online Poker just got punked out about as hard as it could, leave it to UB to just say fuck it we're goin down the hard way...I can't hate them for it.
