friends disturbing experience from WSOP Day 3... I would be surprised if Matt did anything unfair, at the same time I would not be surprised if the floor did something shady, the floor at harrah's are completely clueless and give preferential treatment so much it is absolutely a joke. On day 3 Matt g was seated at a table near me, he came to teh table at the beginning of the day and did not have his id, they called the floor over, Matt gave some spiel about how a lot of people know who he is, he has multiple bracelets etc (for teh record I don't blame Matt for doing this at all, I would have done the exact same) and the floor says ok it's ... Re:Post your experiences with being DROPPED. This post is riddiculous, and basically the reason I hate backing people and am planning on quitting soon. So many horses have a riddiculous false sense of entitlement and such a riddiculous perspective on how a backing arrangement is supposed to work. Your backer is putting up his money to put you into tournaments, if at any point he wants to stop for any reason then that is his perogative, he owes you nothing in the form of advanced notice, apology, or an explanation. I understand that it sucks to get cut during the biggest tournament series of the year without notice, but those are the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Official Billy Kopp ME Sweat! I don't want to get into a strategy discussion tbh, not really the point of this thread. All I will say is that I think that the play is bad, and trying to defend by saying that he is "going for the win" is so absurd that words can't even begin to describe it. I forgot to say in my last post... Really impressive run Billy and series overall, I know you are prlly disapointed, but I'm sure a lot of good things are coming in the future for you. Re:Official Billy Kopp ME Sweat! We get it, you want to support your friend, Billy seems like a good guy and a good player, I was rooting for him to get 2nd (behind Ivey obv), but trying to defend an obviously horrible play by telling people that they aren't on his level just makes you look foolish. He was tired and under a lot of pressure, he screwed up, it happens. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Phillips vs. Devidov hand edit: Also, I think those that are saying the 4 bet is fine are giving Ivan the benefit of the doubt because he is a very good player, but it is definitely a big mistake to do so. Calling is by far the best option after the LRR, they have somewhat deep stacks, he has a hand that plays well postflop and he is in position against a player who plays terribly after the flop. AQs has too much equity against Phillips' 5 bet AI range to 4 bet fold, so it is not the same as 4 bet folding some garbage hand that has terrible equity againt his 5 bet range. Also, from what I have seen of Phillips I ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:MRCASINO You are right it's definitely not concrete, but I bet if Stars reviews the whole FT they will find a pretty strong case. Either way, I feel bad for Jason that his brother was such a boneheaded cheater that he cost him his account and livelihood etc. My only point was that it just seems really unlikely that Jason is completely innocent just because it is his flesh and blood that is the one cheating. Re:MRCASINO Come on... I'm sure Jason is a great guy and may have had a very small role in this whole thing (although imo, without knowing Jason very well, I believe he is a lot guiltier than it seems like everyone else believes he is), but you don't really believe that Craig was softplaying his brother and his brother had no clue that he was and was not at all returning the favor. Re:weird 100r hand This hand is a perfect example of why you should never fold preflop. You have a hand that almost certainly crushes this guy's opening range, in position against a player who more than likely plays terribly postflop and will spew off to you with random bullshit when you flop top pair. Re:hAAydon wins FTOPS #22 for over $500K, also won 1st last year for over $400 K I gave you the answers already, not everything in poker is a conspiracy, not every ending to every story in poker is a huge scandal. Will is not a cheater, he played on a friends account for a while, full tilt told him to stop, he stopped, end of story. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:hAAydon wins FTOPS #22 for over $500K, also won 1st last year for over $400 K After he won the 2500 ftops the first time Will told full tilt that he had been playing under his friends screen name he told them b/c he was hoping they would just switch the names on the accounts so he could cash out easier. Full Tilt told him no and that he had to start playing under his account again. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Talk about calling someone out....UscPhildo / Shaundeeb This is absurd, if you are going to say something like this at least have the balls to stand by what you say when it is published. You didn't think that you blatantly calling out two well-respected online players would make the cut of the interview' are you serious' No one with half a brain would ever believe that. Not to mention that in my experience doing interviews over AIM with Bluff and other magazines they have always been very good about making it very clear what is said in private conversation and what is part of the interview. Either just apologize and say you screwed up or stand ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Halfrek wins ftops 1k heh, probably not the most professional comment from me, if I thought there was a chance Halfrek would play big though I would never have said anything. With that being said I usually don't like being negative towards other players, but Halfrek has always seemed like a dick at the tables and has always seemed to play unbelievably bad and run unbelievably good (not that I have a problem with people playing bad and running good, I just would prefer it happen to people that were not jerks). Re:WSOP ME FT to be held in November Gamble AB, I am stunned that you think this is a good idea, usually your posts and opinions are spot on imo. But this is just awful for poker. I mean besides the obvious ridiculousness of playing a final table 4 months after the tournament started, what about the fact that this basically gives any of the players a chance to lucksack their way to the final table and then become 100 times better by the time the actual final table is played. Negreanu equating it to people being "coached up" before the final table to a team having two weeks to prepare for the Super Bowl is laughable. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
