Re:Is this a Shove or fold? Yeah, they were both loose enough to make a call w/ a wide range. So i guess i'm not getting fold equity. But i also feel like 1010 is too strong a hand to fold w/ 20 BB's also, so I really was at a loss for what the most profitable play was. Thanks for both your input. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

shove or fold? Both players in this hand have bigger stacks but have been really loose and showed down some very marginal hands. Is this a Shove or fold? the Original raiser and caller were both pretty weak, loose players who were showing down some very marginal hands. My question is whether or not i should be shoving this hand against them or just folding and waiting for a better spot' Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 300/600 Blinds 75 Ante (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from SB (t5427) BB (t6227) UTG (t46095) UTG+1 (t7188) MP1 (t48348) MP2 (t48701) Hero (CO) (t12157) Button (t21658) Hero's M: 8.10 Preflop: Hero is CO with , UTG bets t1800, 1 fold, MP1 calls t1800, 1 fold Hero....... Re:Limping the small blind in multi-way pots pre antes Hopefully you'll get some responses from players with better stats than me! But as far as J6o and K5o, A little i'm still limping in the pot mentioned above. if i hit a flop like J62 or K56, you're gonna more often then not get ppl over playing top pair to make those limps worth while in the long run. Limping Ax is also fine just be prepaired to be able to lay down top pair A's. With any of those hands don't put too much value in top pair and look to flop something huge and get paid on them. with those hands and just one limper though i'm not sure the best line' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Limping the small blind in multi-way pots pre antes i mean assuming your stack size is anything over 8bb's you should most definitely be limping those hands, for example if blinds are 30/60 and you have 3 limpers ahead of you the pot is now 270 and it costs you 30 to calls. 9 to 1 on youre money makes it correct to call with any two cards essentially. obviously your trying to hit a huge flop but to fold 97o and 63s is just not a good play. those hands have a lot of deceptive value in them. Re:The Well: Pokerbrat13 congrats on your success. I was just curious in the late stages ofplay when everyone is getting shorter stacked when you are sitting in the 18-30 bb range and there is a raiser in front of you, should you always be looking to shove AQ+ and 1010+ over the top of them or is there any merit to just cold calling sometimes and seeing a flop' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Swapping percentages So I was reading that new article on the main page about Joey Capp being #51 in the new rankings and in the article he talks about how he always swaps percentages w/ another player. Is that a pretty frequent thing players do' What is the average percent that players normaly swap' And is it only in tournies they both play in or for everything they enter' sorry i'm a noob Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Straight vs. Paired board on river, what do i do? This is late in the 34K guarentee on tilt, 18 ppl left. MP2 was either reraising my preflop raises or floating my c-bets. First ever post so I just want some feedback on how i could have played this hand better' Should i bet the flop if i know he will float it' Should i have folded the bet on the river' It's a 300K pot and i have 200K behind but with the board pairing and him pushing is that a busted flush draw or boat' Any advice would be greatly appreciated. First ever post so I just want some feedback on how i could have played this hand better' Should i have folded the bet on the river' i almost did but figured a set would have either bet the flop or reraised on the turn' so that's why i called thinking it was a missed flush draw or maybe a split. Re:Why doesn't anyone play the 5+.50 45 player on FTP? ever since ftp added the 45 man super turbo's the 5$ have been really slow in filling up because ppl opt instaed for $3 super turbo's or the 7$ super turbo's. Not sure why they rather play those, but that's what takes away from the $5 fields and even the 10$ are slower in filling up too. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
