Re:What is Gambling? When you take a risk with a security or commodity you own something which has underlying value (inthe case of a stock its the cash flow as a percentage of profit and in the case of a commodity the gold, silver, oil, etc). When you purchase a risk instrument you are (or should be) using some quantifiable information which provides you with clues as to where that instrument is going. War in Middle was causes most commodities to rise. Increase in commodities costs affects business profitability stocks go down. Re:He says GG then pots it... Everyone knows that when you type GG before pushing all in on an online site is the secret activation code for the insiders to activate the suckout program. If you do this the program activates to ensure you draw out giving you the perfect cards, winning those critical pots to win tournaments... Silly..... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Im the devil.... I'm sitting in the Bellagio and call you in for a conference. I offer you the opportunity to win one tournament of your choosing of course in exchange for your soul then let you go back to your donkish ways. There are of course conditions. 1) You will have to play holdem 40 hrs a week on your own money regardless of streaks or I come for you and your dead. You say fine but stipulate that I can not spike the deck or players against you. Free will prevails. I say fine. 2) You will only be dealt 3 card pairs preflop, rank and suit of your choosing, but not AA nor KK for the rest of your ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:10 10 from middle position A co-ordinated board and the bb caller is a warning sign to proceed cautiously. At best he is calling you off open ended or floating. At worst he has a set, two pair or better pair. Your bet reads like you are hoping he has A(pair) or flush draw/pair which on the river you lost 1/2 based on your read. I think you are cooked but you may have to make the crying call here. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:DO HIGH RANKED PLAYERS JUST RUN BETTER? Right, in a game where most hands are played 60-40/70-30 that the skill between the best players and the worst players is going to make a universe of difference. Not likely. Keep laughing... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:DO HIGH RANKED PLAYERS JUST RUN BETTER? Here iw where everything in poker comes together. Once you have a complete game, you can play consistently and squeak out a profit. But then I though, well there might be some danger in drawing out on some lug nut brained muscle head and having him go all 'roid rage on you. And of course these bulked up Neanderthals always take way too much space on on the table too. That said, I vote Aye! Re:Want to STOP permanently multi-accounting? Take your photoshopped ID down to the post office to get a registered letter. Not going to work. Thats the key to my plan. If you dont have a valid ID to get a chaeck by registered mail then your cooked you cant get any money out. I dont think banning P2P will work. but with my plan P2P transfers prom players unable to cash their checks to "real" accounts will show who the cheaters and their enablers are. Want to STOP permanently multi-accounting? Require and ID for all accounts (anything provided by a govt agency with a picture). Want your cash = must have an ID on file and your check is sent registered mail. It wont stop all multi-acocunting but it put a big dent in it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Why no Stars BB Jackpot? This is about the dumbest response as to why a site wouldn't put a BB Jackpot on ever. They are HUGE profit centers for casinos. 1) It encourages gambling since it lowers the standard by which hole cards players play. Then it keeps people in the hand longer. 2) The standard which has to be met in order for the jackpot are SUPPOSEDLY so high that the standard is met RARELY. Assuming a normal distribution payout it rarely hits enough to bankrupt the jackpot rake. But the point of if hitting every 5 mins has to do with card distribution on Stars not the number of hands. Re:Scary PXF Youtube clip... This is textbook online poker. Get it in time and time again and lose. Also adds credibility to conspiracy theory number 3 in that the difference between one the top players and another very good player is how the cards run. and my personal favorite the conspiracy theory that the payouts are managed to keep more money in bad players hands. Re:Poker Stars Froze My Account...pls read One of the nuaces of international banking is that a bank has the right to collect 100% of any fraud wire transfer from the account that money passes through. IN other words you are screwed. Its the same principal as your long lost (insert relative here) in (insert forign country)has left you (insert dollar amount) from (inheritance, gift, lottery winnings) and wants to get the money to you. You first have to move an amount they advance you to some other 3rd party in (another foreign country) THE SAME DAY. The scam is they wire you some money and you wire the third party the cash. Re:Sick spot in Mil......... Flush preflop - bad grammar - 23s wins 20% of the time due to flush draw possibility Once again, for the third time in this post - I'm not judging the play, my point is simply the raise offers no information on the loose players bb call when hes getting 5:1. He could have anything. Thats all. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sick spot in Mil......... Regardless of what anyone thinks of the bet size, he gave a LAGdonkey 5:1 in the bb to see a flop. At that price, any gambler can draw to a flush profitably (assuming against random hands). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sick spot in Mil......... Hitman: My point was this 1) Hero's PFR was not large enough to define the hand and 2) since villain is assumed to be a LAGdonkey then narrowing his range to 3 hands is just wrong. Especially very rational hands like 44 ot 66 which have a live shot of winning on this flop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sick spot in Mil......... I dont know that you can say this. The proflop raise by the HERO was a failure. It in no way defined the hand in ANY meaningful way. To put him on a "real" hand (76 excepted) gives this guy too much credit. You may be right but not for the reasons you offer here. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
