Hatfields and McCoys tonight on History Channel
The series is definitely portraying it this way. I have a friend I went to high school with that is a descendant of the McCoy family. He is sick about the series just because of this fact. And to be honest I've always believed the Hatfield family just wanted to work the timber on their land and be left alone. But jealosy over financial gains and political power helped stoke the fire on this one.

Hard Knocks: Miami Dolphins
For what it is worth I too am pleased that it's Hard Knocks Dolphins this year. However, until ownership fires Jeff Ireland I am not a die hard Dolphins fan. Sad part is, I've been a Dolphins fan since 1973 and I just can't stomach another season where my face is planted in my palm ALL YEAR LONG.

Without question both families did wrong in the feud. "Devil Anse" did indeed amass a healthy fortune that supported the entire family for generations with the timber operation. You have to remember that this story happened in an entirely different age than we live in today. Especially in the Appalachian mountains in the late 1800's, many times justice was served by individuals and not the judicial system. lol MeJah no offense taken and no feud will be started. For the record, I only lived in West Virginia until I was 1 year old. I never humped my dog, never murdered anyone and I grew up in a civilized city with book learnin and everything. Also, "Devil Anse" was my Great Great Great Grandfather on my Mothers side. By the time I came around the feud had been over for almost 90 years.

I doubt they will portray this out in the open but it is true. I had a great aunt and a great uncle on the Hatfield side of the family that were third cousins that were married. The Uncles Grandfather and the Aunts Grandmother were brother and sister. Hell my own Grandparents were third cousins. Happened a lot in Appalachia during the early 1900's. You said yourself that you've only been there 6 months right' Did you streak up the ladder of success there' Were you promoted at any time in those 6 months' If so, that's awesome and I would wonder why you're leaving. I saw an interesting article online yesterday that suggested that FB will not be charging a fee to just regular users on personal accounts, but would start charging businesses to promote themselves through their company FB pages in the future. Now that strategy would make sense to me as businesses want to be on FB and want to promote themselves there and if they are forced to pay a small fee to post something about their company many would do it. Has anyone ever been to Puerto Rico?
I worked within the Arena2 Football League from 2001-2009 and in 2006 I was selected to be the Public Address Announcer for Arena Cup VI in San Juan. Puerto Rico. It's a very strange place. I know the outlying areas away from San Juan are awesome but the city is really a shitty place. Anyways, I worked over 100 AF2 games in my career, but the Championship game I did there was the strangest game I ever worked. First, I found it strange that I was announcing a game in English to a group of people that by my estimation maybe 10% of the 10,000 people actually understood what I was saying. ...

2012 Kentucky Derby talk
As far as the handicapping goes I am a total noob. However, when Towman got me interested in this years derby I started researching online for 2012 derby contenders and there is lots of information out there to be viewed to get informed. All that said, with as many as 6 really solid favorite rides and a couple of solid outside shots this race is going to be one for the ages. I'm heading to my local dog track in 2 hours to lay my money down. Good Luck all!
