Re(1): BANKROLL SLIDE You will have more consistent results if you play at a site with a better structure, not to say that Party isnt profitable just that with their structure....u have to gamble more at times, and in turn others will be gambling more too, which will make results inconsistent at times. just my opinion Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Bankrolls I would like some figures on some bankroll size of players that play for a living. Poker is my only source of income has been for 3yrs. This has been my best year so far (net profit 47k) but i only have about 17k in my accts. I know this is probably bad money management, im just wondering how much do some of you keep in and take out, i think when i win money maybe i withdraw too much, what are some withdrawal strategies to keep your bankroll growing. I saw GP said make a withdrawal everyday, i have considered trying that, would like to hear some others methods......any input appreciated Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): taking the plunge Seriously though ive been a non worker since.....well forever this is all ive done and i am glad, although sometimes i would like to go and blow something up. You can do it just make sure to manage your money wisely and dont put too much of your roll at risk, because we all know how badly it can go from time to time. P Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Jsups Comments I think he is speaking of tournaments with huge fields of 1000 or 2000 people. Even if you come in to every pot as a 3 to 1 favorite your odds of surviving through the massive fields are still not good. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): UB's LAST Sunday $100,000 I cant imagine why they would take down the guarantee. That would be insane, although wouldnt surprise me they seem to like to discontinue things that players like. Like Stone Cold Nuts....and the multiple wins in the aruba packages....that didnt affect me much but its something that is nice to imagine. These are the biggest fields theyve had for their 200....i just dont understand Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): totally confused, looking for advice I think that early in tourneys is the time to play tight.....i am not the type to try to build a monster stack early. If i do thats nice, but you cant win a tournament in the first hour. when the blinds get higher and someone has a deep stack and makes a cheap raise then i may see a flop in posistion with a suited connector or any other deceptive hand that they wouldnt ever put me on due to my tight play in the first hour....sometimes these hands can win huge pots for you. To answer your question i dont think i would ever play J 3 but maybe 10 6 suited in that situation you mentioned before ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): totally confused, looking for advice Hi SOPH, I have played with you quite a bit and your game seems very solid to me. So IMO, you should evaluate your long term results. If youve been a consistent winner over time then you should be able to dismiss this short term failure as running bad which is exactly what i figure it to be....but if you are a long term loser or around even then maybe you should question your game. You have to come into each session with a clear mind, if you are confused and doubt your play you will lose and make bad plays. Dont know if this helps any just my Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Out on pocketfives Adam thanks for the support tonight in the $20......i finally got one under my belt. I had a few lucky breaks, but thats what it takes right. And thanks to golfpucks for laying down the best hand 10 times along the have done it without ya. He had me outchipped 3 to 1 when it went heads up and i battled for a bit until the key hand of the tournament came down. AA and KK how often you see that heads up WOW but ill take it for sure anyway i can.......thks again and great work on the site guys. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Fell in My Own Trap I was playing in step one of party poker's step sitngos. Down to 12 i am fairly short stacked when the following hand came up.(50-100)blinds.... I am holding 10 10 in the SB.....everyone folds around to me. i limp in hoping to flop a set and double. BB checks (has me covered)....the flop comes down 10 Q 4 with two diamonds. I lead into him for 150 he raises to 300 i just call. turn pairs the board 4 i check he moves me in for my last 575. I call he flips over K 4 and hits a nice one outer to send me packing with my tens full... TY party poker that felt nice. Posted in: Bad Beats |
