Karma??? So I stop by a "poker" friend's table to wish her luck. We were both deep in a tourney and a railer of hers started in on me and said a couple of jerkish things... Whatever... Even later in the tourney, it turns out he comes to my table. He raises, and a short stack pushes on him (just a tad more than his orginal raise). I decide to squeeze him with AK and move in with the big stack, he insta calls with AA. I flop junk, garbage, nothing. I go running Kings to knock him out. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Karma' I think so! Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Sneaky's 5 favorite Card Rooms I should mention I haven't been to Borgota and very possible has replaced the Taj (I've heard magnificent things about the place). I think I'll make a trip this spring out there. A very close 6th would be the Poker Room at the Golden Nugget. A fish barrel during peak tourist seasons. The 1/2 is No Cap buy-in. Great Dealers (2nd behind the Wynn). The tournies there have no antes and you get plenty of play (usually only 3 tables). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sneaky's 5 favorite Card Rooms Hint: stay away from low low limit (4/8 and 2/4). It's 3 or 4 bets 8 people and complete bingo poker. 9/18 is a very sane game. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sneaky's 5 favortie Card Rooms Foxwoods''' No way. Bad service, if I remember the rake is killer. Honorable mention should be the Aviation Club in Paris, except the service is so bad, no one can get drunk. No cap on the rake. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Sneaky's 5 favorite Card Rooms 5. The Argosy (KC) - How can I not rank the first poker room I ever visited. 3rd hand I get TTTT777 playing 7 card stud. I miss the place. 4. Taj Mahal, AC - The meca of yankee poker rooms. Ton of energy and foul language. 3. The Bellagio, Las Vegas - Lot of tourists, eruo trash, and a lot of action - what more could you want' 2. The Wynn, Las Vegas - Anyone want to play real poker should go here. First it's 9 handed table not packed in. Best wait staff in the business (try the vodka lemonade). No cap buy-in in the no limit games (although 1/3 just got capped). 1. Commerce Casino - ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:UGH! No more $3 chippies at Wynn I was sitting in that game and guy waiting on the 10-20 game sits in that game with 70K in $100 bills. He proceeds to bully the table and busts just about everyone. He had about $490 in "loose" chips laying around. He offered me to put up $430 to take 22 vs. his 9T sooooooted. He takes the cards from the dealer, pulls out the appropriate hands, tells dealer to deal. I hold. That'll never ever happen again with a $500 max. :( I liked the $3 chips cause they confused the tourist like a sign around the neck. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

UGH! No more $3 chippies at Wynn You'll be sad to know the $1/$3 game at the Wynn no longer uses $3 chippies and if I heard him right it's a $500 max now. I respectfuly disapprove of both decisions. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Again, why you always just flip your cards over when called So I had the absolute best time with the tourist at the MGM this week. I had 22 and called a pre-flop raise. Flop Q34. Check, Check. Turn Q. Check, Check, river 3. I check, I say out loud "nut low." I flop over my cards and he folds. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:AK spot facing overshove against short stack IMHO JJ is the most probable hand hand here - not AQ. He doesn't want to see a flop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:AK spot facing overshove against short stack Because I suck, and 2 out of 3 hands in this situation is Ax vs pair'' But you right not enough info on original raiser. Someone ALWAYS has an ace. :) And if 3 way all in AK vs AJ vs Ax. I always lose with AK in the dodge of the kicker battle. Edit: I just hate going broke with AK. I'd fold live, call online. Re:AK spot facing overshove against short stack I'd call cause I'm a donk, but you got to think the short stack probably has Ax and he (over shove) doesn't want competiton with JJ or TT. If all is good he has AJ and you have him dominated. If he would push with AQ, he pushes with 99. So with 1 ace gone realistically - probably a bad call. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Just plain sick I was hitting several hands against just plain bad players. And the dealer would scowl when I fold. (I won twice with nut no pair). He told me he won 17 straight hands and like $1800 in a 2/4 Limit game at the Imperial Palace long ago. Anyone else have a run like that' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:I continue my live 20/40 LIMIT at the Taj experiment The Mirage 20/40 game really only seems to get going on the weekend. It's a great game. I was there last weekend and it didn't even start on a Saturday. The 10/20 is 'ok'. The 30/60 at the Bellagio is like playing 3/6 at most places 8 people 3 bets is standard. I would feel short stack with 1000. 2000 minimum with another 2000 in pocket would be what I would take to that game. I personally hate the 15/30 game at Bellagio and Wynn (3 chip/2 chip blinds). The 20/40 at Casino Arizona rocks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

The Orleans tourney So I rarely tell bad beat stories except when I put a whipping on someone, and well today is no exception. I go down to the Orleans for the noon tourney yesterday and 85 entries. I get to the final table with above avg. chip stack but the $500 antes take a pounding pretty quick. With 7 left and starting to get short stack and blinds at 2000/4000 - $500 ante. From the SB everyone folds I move in on the shorter stack with A7 sooted (he just took a horrid beat KK vs Ace rag (river Ace). He looks down and insta calls with QQ. I double him up. GRRRRRR. So much for stealing. How come the BB ... Posted in: Bad Beats |
