..I find it hard to believe that Phil can currently compete with the top 30 or so mtt players on the live circuit. On the other hand, I think he was one of the top players in the world at mtt's. That time has passed him by imo.

Anyone else experience difficulty adding on during the break' I played a rebuy yesterday and had no issues... today...no add on option. WTF. I used to play there regularly, and just put some money on recently to play some mtt's. I'm beginning to question why I bothered depositing..

Hand 1: C/C, turn C/C or C/F, River C/C or C/F Unless you have a lot of history with your opponent and you are trying to get him to spew on a bluff, there is no value in C/Raising. C/Calling enables him to bluff you off the turn. You make him fold when he holds 10 10.. Raising in order to "obtain information" was/is a huge flaw in your thought process. What have you accomplished' You don't know if you were raising for value or raising as a bluff... Instead you inflated the pot and took away your opponents ability to fire bluffs. Where there is smoke... there is often fire boys. His "wife's" account never added up. So, none of this is surprising to me. Thanks to those who helped prompt the investigation. If you fold this you are baaaaad. what makes a min-raise on this flop indicate that he has a hand that dominates AK anywayz''' I CR turn all innnnnnn. I see players make this min raise with a very wide range. Folding is downright awful imho.

I think it can be a great play...but you must be aware of your image at the table, and have a reasonable read on the players at the table. The game is ever-changing, and more players are aware of this move. In a live event, old men limping with JJ and QQ is standard. So, be careful and shove wisely.

The OP's mindset indicates that he is always behind pre-flop, which he couldn't be more wrong about. The best way to learn how to play small pairs when they miss is to experiment with them and gain experience. For example, if you call your opponents raise pre-flop, and float him on the flop...he has to give you credit for a decent hand. This may give way for you to take the pot away when a scare card hits, or he shuts down. If you are playing conservatively at low stakes then obtain a bankroll to move up in stakes, you will be exploited by more experienced players. Each hand is unique and a ...

It is not always correct to call. It is often more correct to raise! I think it is a leak to play pairs in order to "set mine." Hopefully, your skills will enable to take down the pot when you don't hit your set. Playing to set mine will often make you transparent and predictable...

I dont think you should be raising this hand pre-flop when your utg. Since you do play it and get reraised, you should be folding or 4-betting. Preferably fold, unless you know this opponet will lay down big hands. Calling out of position with A5 is very unprofitable. You hit this flop about as good as you could, expecially since your ace could be dominated. You've gotta go to the felt if your going to play this hand. GL
