Want to work for Cardrunners? Last time we were looking for a video admin, we used P5 and got a great hire, so I figured we'd try it again. We are looking for another video admin to work with our current one, Kevin. This person would be in charge of previewing, editing and producing our videos. We would also like to utilize any flash or other computer skills if possible. Our office is a fun atmosphere to work in. We have 6 or so people working here on a daily basis. If you live in Chicago/Chicago area, are interested in poker, and have above average computer skills send us an email: <careers AT cardrunners DOT ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Want to work for CardRunners? 1. Yes, this person would have to come into the CR office on a daily basis. 2. We're basically looking for someone with solid poker knowledge and a good grasp of computers. The actual producing of the videos isn't hard to learn. We mostly want this person screening them and adding a recap powerpoint at the start. Any experience in flash, html, etc is just an added bonus we'd love to have. 3. I'll PM the exact number, but it's a full time job with benefits included. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Want to work for CardRunners? I'll describe the job a little more. This person would be in charge of previewing, editing and producing all of our videos. Basically, you'd get paid to watch every CR video! We would also like to utilize any flash or other computer skills if possible. Our office is a fun atmosphere and we are hiring another admin at the moment. That means there would be 4 of us working out of there. We've already got some good applicants. I hope to see more! Thanks, Andrew Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Best Cash Game Book for an Intermediate Player? Some of the best online poker players now were low limit players when they joined cardrunners. Stinger was a 1/2nl player when he joined. As was aba20 (sbrugby). Empiremaker2 and CTS(muckemsayuh) are two others that come to mind... I agree with Stinger. You can learn way more from CR than from any book. Also, we have a fair amount of lower stakes videos are are constantly putting up more. That being said, the basic principles of the higher stakes games always apply to low stakes games. You just want to tighten up a bit in the lower stakes games. I read all the book when I was starting, but ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Poker videos for ipod Our videos are not compatible with Ipods. However, even if they were, they likely wouldnt be viewable. Ipod video screens are so small that I can't imagine it being possible to see hole cards correctly or betting amounts. It might be possible w/ 1 table videos, but any multitable videos would be impossible. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Cardrunners promo video for pocket fives Think of it like this. Say the guy raises 56s and you call on the button with AK. You will miss the flop the majority of the time. That means, unless you want to float AK a lot, when he bets out on the flop you will fold the majority of the time. Therefore you are just throwing away money by not taking the lead. When the ace does hit, he probably isnt going to pay you off unless the flop comes say A56 and then you go broke. The idea is that when you 3 bet, you are the one in control and he is usually checking to you to let you make the c-bet. That's a big advantage. It's like they say in ... Re(5): Training site w/ downloadable videos? You can DL any of the almost 200 Cardrunners videos and watch them for 14 days or until your subscription runs out. During the period you would not need the internet. At that end of that period you will need the internet again to renew your license. Cheers, Andrew Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Just curious did any Pro's actually play in Aruba? Br, Seems like you keep trying to knock the Aruba tourny. There weren't that many "name" pros there. The event is only aired on GSN this year and it's not WPT. Not to mention it's only a 5k buyin. However, there were some there. Personally, I'd rather not have them there. The payout structure was much better this year than last and there was still a good turnout. I can honestly say I had a much better time this year than last. I think you missed out by not being there. Andrew Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Cardrunners play lowstakes wrong It's not like we just all of the sudden started playing high stakes. We worked our way up through teh small stakes. We all started at the lowest stakes online. You will find yourself in a lot of trouble if you play K10 and K9 like they are strong hands. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): who are these people writing articles? Cut gambler some slack. He definitely runs his mouth too much, but I think he was asking a legitmate question this time. I was wondering the same thing. I don't mind if articles are posted by players I've never heard of, I'm just curious to know more about the people (ie. stakes they play, big wins, etc.). Also, I can confirm that Gambler does play 5/10nl. I played with him for about 2 hours when I was making a 2/4nl Cardrunners video about a month ago and he played very well. He's a solid player.
