The purpose of the limitation, although not stated, is likely to make sure the employee is within a reasonable distance to the place of employment. But as written, I don't think one can just assume they mean one way or the other--I was just wondering if there is some understood legal definition of such a statement.

I know there are several lawyers and soon-to-be-lawyers in OT. Could you help w/ a little employment contract law' Lets say an employee contract states the following: " [Employee shall] Maintain his principal personal residence no further than 30 miles from the city limits of xxx." In legal speak, does that imply "as the crow flies" distance or road miles' Thanks in advance!

Looks like people on 2+2 are receiving tracking #'s now from Bovada. Some are on requests from early April, and some on requests from early May. Mine is from mid-April but I still haven't received any tracking #, blah. Will update.

Serious tipping thread.
First, depends on the check. On a check < $20 or so I will never leave < $5 unless they absolutely suck. On normal dining occasions at regular restaurants we will spend ~$50. If the service is excellent, I will tip $12 to $15 If the service is good, I will tip $10. If the service is adequate, I will tip $8 or $9. If the service sucks, I will tip $5-$7.

Thanks for the advice guys. Kept the letter short and sweet. They called and asked why. I told them. Worked out well. They were surprisingly understanding and appreciated my input--but not before a last ditch effort at some more negotiating lol.

They told me that if you deposited w/ credit card you can't cash out w/ WU. Its so weird b/c it seems like WU would be the safest way for them to cash people out. That way they'd never have to open an bank acct on US soil. They could just use a massive amount of different people who initiate WU payouts as to not draw suspicion from WU.

6 months or so ago, the place I trained at offered me a position to stay on full time. I really thought for a long time that I was going to stay, and they thought the same. I never signed any documentation as such, and I never gave a verbal commitment--I just basically told them I wanted to stay. This leads to that, and I've decided to move on to another place. They are pretty pissed b/c they thought they had me in the bag and now they have to scramble to fill my position.
