Re:Is anybody else worried about this 60 Minutes "online poker cheats" segment?
I think everyone is overestimating the possible influence of a 60 Minutes report. The median age of a 60 Minutes viewer must be 80+. Also, there is no journalistic justification for 60 Minutes to repeatedly stress that the majority of online sites don't rob their customers. I don't recall hearing anything about the majority of wonderful, clean accounting firms during the Arthur Anderson scandal. And given the political leaning of most 60 Minutes correspondents, I would expect them to present government regulation as a solution to this issue.

Re(1): Casinos in london
The biggest games are at the Vic in Edgware Road but I prefer the Gutshot where everyone is nicer and the games are much softer. The games are also very deep stacked with an average stack of 300bb.

Pamela Anderson in a 5/10 NL game at the Bellagio. She had no clue what she was doing. Her brains must be made of plastic as well.

Can you withdraw from FTP via wire transfer?
I am thinking of depositing on full tilt to play the FTOPS but wanted to know if I will be able to cash out via wire transfer. I live in Pakistan and overseas checks can take months to clear. Ive waited three days for FTP support to give me an answer but they haven't replied yet.

Acronym Tilt
Could the chat nazis at Poker Stars please permanently ban the chat of all those who excessively use lol, omg, gg, nh and other acronyms. It find it repetitive and inane and it makes me want to strangle two-year-old babies. Plus acronym tilt has cost me thousands in equity. p.s. Any players who say "pwns" should be barred from ever playing at the site again.

Re(1): London Players: Gutshot vs Vic
The Vic does spread more games than the Gutshot. You can always find a £100 and £200 NL game going as well as numerous PL games. These games tend to have deeper stacks than those at the Gutshot. For the £100 game you should buy in for at least £300. I would reccommend you hit up Gutshot on Wednesday nights when there is a 1-1 blind PLO game going. The players tend to be weak and its a lot of fun.

Re(1): payouts for cancelled 100R
Just got this reply from Stars Hello, As you know, earlier today, PokerStars experienced some technical difficulties which lead to tournaments being cancelled and rolled forward under our tournament cancellation policy. This formula was applied to your $100+9 rebuy tournament #43984395. We are aware that this formula does not work that well for rebuy tournaments in early stages, and as such, are manually adjusting each of the awards from this event to ensure that no one loses money due to this. I have increased your award to the point that you have been fully refunded for your buyin and ...

Re(2): I owe it all to pocket fives
I played 20-50 dollar MTTS for about 8 months and until the last couple of months was a losing player. But I could see I was improving a lot and after a good run in the cash games decided to take a shot at the bigger tournies.

I owe it all to pocket fives
Although I have never posted on P5 before, I have been a regular lurker and credit this community for all that I have learnt about tournament poker. This week I finally felt I could take a shot at the big buy in tournamnets on Stars. Beginners luck maybe but I took 6th in the Sunday 2nd chance and chopped the 50 rebuy yesterday. In particular I would like to thank rizen, thayer, sheets and franktank as their contributions have been extremely helpful. It was an undoubted honour to be at the final table with franktank at the 50 rebuy. I now fully intend to be a participating member here in the ...
