Already have I admitted my mistake more then once. I am playing in the event and have no problem with it. Like I've said "simple" and "clear" is the obvious.. YOU CANNOT UNREGISTER from this event. As I admitted I was wrong. You people don't understand the basis of this post being that the must play event can be misunderstood as a great event not that you cannot unregister. Clear stating that "You cannot unregister" would solve this issue with no further issues.

I'm posting this chat with AP just to get feedback - I won a seat into a $215 event not realizing prior that "must play event" meant that you wouldn't be able to unregister. I originally interpreted "must play event" as just a marketing slogan implying that the tournament is a great one, etc., almost like PS or FTP marketing their majors. I admit my error in judgment, but if this were FTP or PS, I believe they'd at least compromise one time as an existing long- term customer. Additionally, I felt like their customer service was borderline rude... I am just ...

Great read ... For me, poker has burnt me out completely. Just not worth the profit but that's largely b/c of my education/career and the compensation package... depends on each person's opportunity cost. I do think that if people put the amount of time/effort/energy into their education and long-term career, they wouldn't be so inclined to hate a "9-5." There are some great day jobs out there and IMO the best is to have both worlds, a great day job and play poker on the side recreationally. It IS about balance.

^^^ ding ding ding, the average low to mid stakes player reading these threads daily on P5s really makes me reconsider how much cheating, MAing, etc goes on. It always comes out when backer/horse relationships go bad.

This might be crazy for you but in my MBA program we did our's on an instant real-time translation service for the iphones, blackberry and other PDAs. So you call another country for whatever reason (business, personal, vacation, etc) and you speak in English, it comes out instantly on their phone in their native language ... no third person, no translation delay. It could be expanded to include military purposes (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc) and help people with disabilities (brail')...

Amazing to me at the vast majority of people on P5s that auto-side with FTP on situations like this, esp considering everything we already know about thier pathetic support. I'm with Panda ... seeing enough of these situations on FTP over time makes one reconsider where their bankroll sits.
