Re:someone explain why. please.
beat sucks but you got your money in with the best hand (by a mile) and got v unlucky, im sure u didnt post about the 4 of 5 times your aces held up so this will prob just std in the long run. hard to hear but nh for gettin money in wit the best of it - ul for the sukout - dont let this deter you from making normal decisions that have proved good for you and never forget that aces although v strong arent impregnable and will just win the 82-95% of the time depending on what they r up against.

Re:Was this the right fold
i agree, althought not definite decision i do favour call, i think with only 13BB and already in the cash i think that the hands which do crush (AK, QQ+) you can factor in the UTG limp or 3-4bb raise, the UTG shove would widen his range from these hands down to 22+ and A9s or thereabouts. i would call and pray too well said above

Re:UTG limp min reraise.....what to do???
flat it and reevaluate on flop - dont play for set value yet be awareof strength of the limp minraise - however this is a popular move with marginal holdings as it will be seen as strong. with no overs on flop i still fancy check behind if only for pot control.

NETS v NITS POKER AFTER DARK SEASON 5 - cts, greenplastic, raptor
Although a bit off topic from the normal hand discussion, I felt i must comment on the most recent week of Poker after dark cash game whereby Cardrunners boys Taylor (greenplastic) Caby, Cole (cts) South and David (raptor) Benefield took on Doyle, Eli Elezra and Gabe Kaplan. For those who missed it it was 200/400 NLHE with a regular 800 and often 1600 straddle. I felt i must comment on how well the cardrunners boys represent internet poker and show that the young, intelligent poker minds are also very pleasent people who can and do get on with and respect some of the games most respected ...

Re(2): Correct Aggression, or bad playing?
i like all but the call OOP pre flop. if u do put him on a high PP maybe the most profitable move wud be a C-raise on the flop which shows more strength than a shove. the problemis pre flop here wheree i favour fold although good odds OOP with med pair is at best 50-50 and worse 80-20 good read tho

Re(2): Lay down or call?
i think that the early days of SnGs are the time where u dont win only lose and here is example, i thinkk the shove looks like one of two hands 1)KQs/JQs ie pair and FD to which the choice is yours u will be marginally ahead but not much or 2) A7 not AQ if a player is aggre to shove on the flop to a pot bet then they are prob aggre enuf to shove wit AQ on flop. THE_D_RY has great literature regarding SnGs and worth a read - he says he dusnt overplay strong aces early ionly big PPs which he plays fast. i am fairly aggressive in SnGs but i wud have just called PF and not inflated pot early ...

Re(2): How bout this for pocket pairs kk v qq v jj v 1010
umm i think that with or without any reads on the players in this hand you played the hand optimally and i think on any table seein a standard 4bb raise would be 3bet with 88+ and seein the action before you i say wp on the hand. in response to open shove with JJ would have generated the calls from the KK and poss AQ as well as this Ob would look weak and maybe only get the TT to fold to whom u are 80-20 anyways. theres a common misconceception of "protecting PPs" a phrase which i dont agree with as this contradicts fundamental NLHE concept of betting for value
