Re:BCS BS 6 team playoff isnt a horrible idea imo but "any" undefeated getting in is rediculous lets use this year as an example... TTU/bama/boise/ball st/psu all go undefeated (totally hypothetical) your then deciding between florida,usc,texas etc when all of them are obviously more deserving than ball st and arguably a few of the others but its not necesarry to haggle over which. I personally like 8 teams as it is the same maximum amount of games played to win a championship as 6 teams (3) and it includes 2 additional teams rather than awarding a bye to teams that usually aren't ... Re:To all who bet UTAH winning against MICHIGAN... Actually Utah is a pretty solid team, they are still coached pretty well post-urban. They have a fair amount of returning starters and definately won't be overwhelmed at the line like you see a lot of times in these "Big School/Small School" matchups. Utah has competent skill players and will have a lot better chemistry than michigan. Michigan may have slightly better talent but Utah is far and away a better TEAM. Utah is no joke. Re:I seemed to have wandered into PD for help... Pushing others off of their draws- typically pretty difficult to do against the avg. mtt player at these levels but if you have a made hand it isn't a bad thing that they aren't folding as long as your betting enough to make sure they don't have pot odds on a call.(usually 1/2-3/4ths pot bet is fine) Raising pre and then missing flop- I think it helps to be in position so maybe open less often from early position but if your out of position often times a continuation bet of about 1/2 pot will take the pot down, though there are certainly some flops you might just want to give up ... Unless walter knows MUP which I'm assuming he doesn't though I'm not sure, I wouldn't imagine he is 4 betting light and wouldn't consider anyone who does this at this stage of the tourny against an unknown a "thinking" player. I think 3 bet folding is fine and imo the best line. Also I don't imagine a flat by AA,KK is very likely in this spot. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
