AA vs 60bb jam on flop
Yeah thought the same just wanted to check I wasn't missing anything given we were deeper. After though was that I could fold for tourney life even though I am ahead, but then I though that doesn't really make sense, at some point I will be taking a flip and in this case I'm probably better than a flip plus the point is to accumulate chips not last the longest. I figured him for a draw and the board was riddled with draws so it just didn't make sens he would jam a set, raise yes but not shove, and maybe at best he has a skanky two pair combo but most likely a draw or an over pair I am ...

Pokerstars is rigged, I saw it with my own eyes!
Seen it all, never ending, it's not rigged it's just variance. I've been grinding 90mans and sometimes I'm on a rill and othertimes I keep getting donked, mainly the latter. Hear about the pros going on massive downswings so I guess it's the nature of the game. I'm just going to keep my head down and grind and if over a big big sample then I'll think about it more but otherwise, over a small sample I'm pretty convinced now that it's just variance. gl

And to strength my case, for the record I am the complete opposite of a nit, whatever that is, probably a tuna. I will use any excuse I can to get my money in the middle and I'm an action junkie - just not in this spot based on how many times I've seen this go south. gl

What part of my advice is horrible and what makes you say it is horrible' It's going to be more helpful to OP and me to rationalise where we are wrong in our thinking rather than just saying the advice is horrible - do this instead. Help us learn so we can get badges.

Too short to set mine and most likely check folding the flop. Anyone decent player will probably just jam any two broadway if you limp knowing you probably aren't calling with your pair unless you are trapping which is imo not even a good idea at these stacks. If you raise you are bluffing. You don't really want to be called. Who is calling you' Fold and steal the dead money late.

Switching from cash to sng's.
For heads up go lower man, the variance is crushing, people lose like 20 buyins in one day... best to keep the roll up over 100 BIs IMO If you like SNGs I think you'll like MTTs better than HUSNGs because the latter are a freakin grind but the former are great when you hit a big score. Grinding 5 SNGs will get to you, it's going to be hard to multitable and slower to build up the roll. If heads up is your thing not trying to discourage you but if you do 6max you still get to play headsup at the end :) The cheap 45 man and 90 man SNGs are the place to cut your teeth for MTTs.

As mentioned depends on other dynamics especially how well the others are push folding. Personally, I'd snap fold this trash if you are 3rd in chips from this position you will find a better spot or someone else will make a mistake. You have to get through everyone, including the number 1 and 2 spots.

Next time don't show us the results as it will bias our answers. He isn't crying, he's asking for advice. It's also not really a bad beat, it's been over played. I've been in this spot a gazillion times, and done exactly as you have. It's happened to me 3 handed, FT bubble you name it, it is very common. The problem is a few things: 1. Before you even look at your hand, you have 50bbs so you have plenty of play left and don't need to be getting too aggressive pre-flop and in general. If you were shorter this would be an easy jam, then if the guy made the terrible call pre then it ...

aggression and control
Do you use a HUD' Stats will help you know which opponents you can go aggro, which to bluff, which to value, which to fold to a 3 bet etc Would love to see some hand histories as examples so can give more advice as a lot of it is going to be situational. Also think if there is a common thread or cause e.g. big stack, just lost a big pot, near the bubble etc

Cash Game Theory/Strategy... Will this work in building my bankroll?
I suffer the same thing. Most important is for you to work out why you are winning with a standard stack but losing with a deeper stack. For me it was opening up my range too wide in a game that was really loose passive. As soon as I had more chips I switched from tight agressive to loose passive and opened up a major leak. Work out what it is for you. Until you work this out and can benefit from playing deeper I think your strategy is perfect and in no way unethical. That said if I stacked someone after 2 hands I'd at least sit and post the blinds for an hour or so, so you don't get a ...

Pokerstars is rigged, I saw it with my own eyes!
Anyone saying fold the hand pre flop isn't making any sense. That's like saying you got what you deserved for playing a weak hand, when we all know it happens when you have good hands too. Hands are played for different reasons at different times against different opponents. The bulk of what I posted were legitimate bad beats and they belong in this thread. It was a sick terrible run that I've never experienced before and wanted to vent it out as it did feel like the river was stacked against me time and time again. There is nothing selective about my memory. I never said that I never ...

Need Advice!
Yeah I agree about push/fold and I meant to say 3x. I just found in those I would get to top 100 at best and eventually get out flipped. e.g. I'm always pushing AK and eventually a pp sets up. Might try and find a video on one to get better. With the luck comment I meant in one tourney since the op said he likes to take shots. Agree it (should) level out.

Sounds like me. :) I am terrible at BR management and it's cost me a lot. Only thing that worked for me was to put a limit on the games I could play by restricting the tourney buyin limit. That way when I've just taken a really bad beat or I'm up late and not focused I don't drift off and go "f^&* i" let's take a shot at the big 55. Also nowadays I always have the games filtered so I can only see

Small, half pot or big BETS? What do you choose depeding on situation.
I think it is less predictable. Villain knows if he check calls the flop you are going to barrel the turn or if you check behind he is going to lead the river. I think most Villains are less capable of playing oop on later streets and hence my idea for the move on the river. That said, there are issues with drawing etc so I agree in general double barreling is a better strategy. In a way the check river over bet will probably be cheaper than triple barreling that is the other thing, it also doesn't let him check raise you off the turn and you get info from him on how he plays the river, if ...

Need Advice!
Really all depends on what your goals are. Whatever they are I'm sure busting isn't one of them and with $100 you won't last very long playing MTTs so I like your idea of keeping MTT shots separate and playing these more recreationally. The other thing you could do is allow a fixed amount of MTTs as shots within your bankroll but make it a small % and worthwhile, e.g. Satellite into the Big Little on Tilt or the Saturday Micro on Stars etc. SNGs is probably the way to go. I would start with Full Tilt 50c 6max SNGs either turbo or non-turbo they play similar. Play these until you can beat ...

top 2 w a straighten board
Give it away give it away give it away now. I puke fold with another player to act and no reads. Also probably shouldn't open 89 with no reads, spank :) Flopped sets raise the flop. I guess he could have 55, 99 is unlikely but he raises here too. Any heart straight draw combination raises the flop: A9h, K9h, Q9h, JTh, J9h Flopped straight raises the flop: T9, 54 (unlikely he has 54) Axh and 97,96 both either raises the flop or check the turn, no way they flat the flop then donk the turn Which leaves the following unsuited hands: JT, QT, KT, AT probably floats your c-bet and will now bet ...
