Would play again. +1 to starting a new world. Won't play a ton over the summer, but I really miss playing at the moment. Love me some epic adventuring.

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
He's applying for a job in financial sector, where he will work in risk management, the poker background is clearly relevant. If he was applying to be a bank teller, yeah, probably skip it on the resume.

Merge MTT Players Must Read
I just read this whole thread and I think ktx49 is right, but the scenario is way worse than he ever imagined! I mean, think about it, a feltstars affiliate appears to be losing money staking players in MTT's. But losing money doesn't make sense. So, clearly the affiliate has rigged the system somehow for his personal gain. But that's just the beginning. Think about this, some 90% of poker players are losing money playing MTT's. That's like, I dunno, millions of players worldwide. But losing money doesn't make sense. So, clearly millions of players have rigged the system somehow for their ...

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
I put something to the effect of "required making decisions in a fast paced, high pressure environment with imperfect information" and mentioned BR management, statistics, game theory and risk assessment. I only put it there to account for the gap in employment, and I think you want to put just enough to highlight the skill set, and intrigue the interviewer so you can draw correlations between poker and the job in a live conversation.

allani12, I've been watching you play for several months now, ever since the first time we played together and you owned me hard in a hand that I obv played very badly. (I think I called a min-raise by you with A9 or something retarded and then donked off on a 9 high flop, pretty obv why I'm not ranked I guess :) lol ) Anyway, I could tell right away that you were on top of your game and probably one of the top players in the world. I try to sweat you in the HSMTTs whenever I have time to watch and it's just mind-blowing how you keep dominating these supposedly "top pros". Congrats on getting ...

LOL About Bovada Poker
I think saying that they "allow collusion" is a bit of stretch. It's definitely not in their interest to do so. And he recent change to showing all hole cards suggests the opposite is true. How are they making it "easy for cheaters"' I'm just not seeing it.

LOL About Bovada Poker
I got the HH finally. Apparently i was doing it wrong. You have to look up the game under "game transactions" and then go to "show hands". So, in the hand in question, we are 5 handed in a 300 chip hyper SNG, blinds 75/150. Villain is the BB, there is no SB. UTG folds, I folded UTG+1. UTG+2 goes all in for 210. Dealer folds. Villian tanks for 18 seconds and folds. It was 60 for him to call, pot contained 360. HH shows he had K5o. Stacks going into the hand are UTG+1: 1150, UTG+2: 210, Dealer: 135, BB:625, UTG: 580. I looked through the entire HH for the SNG. The two players in question ...

I appreciate your kind words. Not having any issues getting answers though. I'm just checking the HH via the client and they haven't been converted yet. I thought I read they get converted after 24hrs, but it must be a little longer than that or something. I checked hands a few days older than the one in question and they are converted. I'll just give it a little more time, nbd. I'm gonna wait to contact them until I see the HH. For all I know right now, the guy who didn't call is just retarded.

I guess I didn't think about that. We all have screen names from when we registered years ago, but new players just don't I guess. So what are they gonna show' player ID #' email' Might not work after all. I'm sure Bovada can tell who the player is(probably shows up as an ID# in their HH), but posting player ID #'s in public HH's is prob a bad idea.

How about we quit settling for collusion and canned responses. I'm sure this rep respects their position and will jump at the chance to initiate a change that benefits their employer and the players alike.

LOL About Bovada Poker
I get what you're saying. I think they'd be open to providing names on the HH's. I don't see a downside for them in doing so, and at least two upsides. Fewer colluders (making tables safer for those recreational players they love so much), and less time and money spent on collusion detection. Isn't there a Bovada Rep here we can pass the request on to'

LOL About Bovada Poker
Without player names we can only detect single instances. But if you detect and report a single instance, it's easy for Bovada to look into the accounts, and VERY EASY to detect collusion at that point. The patterns of collusion are obvious (logging in at same time, sitting at same tables, soft play). Without names they have to do the leg work of the investigation. If they provide the names we can investigate and they can simply verify, saving them time and money. In either case (names, or not) I think they will investigate EVERY reported instance. It is in their interest to do so, and they ...

LOL About Bovada Poker
If you suspect collusion in one instance and report it, Bovada CAN check to see if the players have been playing together frequently, and collusion is pretty easy to detect at that point. That being said, I see no reason player names can't be shown in these HH's. Since the tables are anonymous during play it wouldn't be useful for HUD's, but would make detecting cheating a lot easier. Is there a Bovada Rep here that can pass this info on to management'

LOL About Bovada Poker
They have lots of policies, I've never known any of them to be set in stone. Collusion is not something we as a community tolerate. We report, they investigate and close the accounts. If new colluders show up, we report them, and their accounts get closed. If accounts get closed, IP's get flagged and opening new accounts gets harder. It's not a waste of time. It's responsible, and profitable, to police the tables when necessary. FWIW I'm beating SNG's there at a 14.1% ROI, albeit the sample is quite small, 121 games, but the play I witness is the opposite of collusion, and I'm confident ...

Yeah, helping curb collusion isn't really worth the time I guess. It's not like you're likely to get the seats awarded to you, or that the games would be more profitable after the colluders had their accounts closed. Wait, no, that's exactly what it's like.

What movie is this scene from?
It's a vague memory in both my and a buddies head, but we cant place it. Its a movie scene of an infomercial for some sort of electric shock facial. The model is a blonde who has had extensive plastic surgery, probably in her fifties. Everytime they engage the device, her face is comically pulled back. something goes wrong and they can make it stop. Its most likely from a comedy. Any ideas'

People should only work and get paid for 21 hour a week
After BF, I started working at a restaurant near my house. I put in 25-35 hrs a week most of the summer. But winters are slow here, and I'm back in school, so I'm only scheduled for 3 shifts a week now, which amounts to 15-18hrs a week. Over the x-mas break I started going in on days when I wasn't scheduled and volunteering my time. I do a lot of piddly crap like dishes, breaking down boxes, light cleaning and organizing or whatever, and occasionally do actual work that I would normally be paid to do during a scheduled shift. I go in every single day now and do about 2-3hrs of stuff for no ...
