Re(1): folding KK preflop in cash game
If youre looking for a str8 forward answer, its tough to say without knowing the table, and players involved. With the way the betting went, its not a mistkae to fold KK in that spot. Ill give u a similar example. Last week playing 5 10 NL (live) 7-handed average stack is 1200 (range 600 - 3000). UTG makes it 45. MP raises to 120. Hero is on the button, calls 120 with KK. UTG reraises to 400. MP reraises allin for 2200. Hero Tanks and folds. UTG calls. UTG shows KK - MP shows QQ. KK holds. I know these players pretty well, and have no fear of MP (his range there is AK, 1010-AA) and UTG's ...

Re(1): WSOP Seniors Event - CHOP?? free bracelets for everyone
My only objection to this chop is that Bennett is considered a bracelet WINNER, and will forever be in the poker annals as such. I agree that a chop is perfectly acceptable, but I dont think the bracelet should be part of it. Furthermore I would really LOVE to find out what exactly the chop was. I guess guy who took 2nd place was more interested in the $, obviously, but I wonder what the bracelet equity was in Bennett's eyes. Im not sure why they didnt chop it then play it out for the bracelet, that would seem TO ME to be the best possible scenario. To each his own though.

WSOP Seniors Event - CHOP?? free bracelets for everyone
Okay, so according to PokerNews, before heads up play was set to begin (right after guy busted in 3rd place), the two remaining players deicded to chop the tournament. That isnt TOO odd, however they DIDNT play out the tourney to see who would take the bracelet, apparently it was part of the chop. So when the guy busted in 3rd place, they chopped and declared Ernest Bennett the champion. Does anyone else (on a theoretical level) think that this is completely wrong' I have no problem with chopping a tourney, but to give someone the bracelet as part of the chop without even seeing a single ...

Re(2): Stars FPP question
So you are saying that unless the .50 1.00 NL table(s) have pots that hit 40 dollars regularly, then 3 tables of that would be better than 6 @ .25 50''' However, otherwise 6 smaller versus 3 larger SHOULD be the same in getting fpps'

Stars FPP question
Is it quicker to get FPPs by playing 3 tables of say 50 1.00 NL or 6 tables of .25 .50 NL on stars''

Phil tries to bite his leg, kjicks him in the shin... grizzle one more punch hellmuth says uncle.. game HOVA.

Sam Grizzle
Sam and I have played together often in recent months, every session ending with the same question, hey Bud you spot me a nickel''...... No Sam i dont lend money sorry. WHY IS IT THAT A GUY WHO HAS BOUGHT INTO AND CAHSED IN NEARLY EVVERY 2006 WSOP EVENT (currently 9-26 in 10k PLO). asking for money'''' He would ask a pandhander to borrow a couple bucks . GRIZZLE = mooch, however i let it go because he beat the piss outta hellmuth and when he retells the story of how Phil tried to bite him during the fight.... it washes away all anger in my mind.

Re(1): Bad fold?
Aaron you have to make this call for the simple reason that. If you fold OR if you call... youre remaining stack with survive one hand. i.e. 1200 or 1800 in chips @ 3-600 is a negligable difference. Thus you have little fold equity on the river. Though you are going to lose this hand 80%+ of the time, it is a necessary call based on the purported circumstances.

Jumping to higher stakes -- BR management or Player Observations?
I constantly see younger players who have built a healthy bankroll both online and in live play (typically online), moving up in stakes very rapidly. Though this is not the best move in terms of bankroll management, for those players who are ot worried about the possiblity of busting, it can be very profitable. This being said it is important to select a stakes level where you feel comfertable, not to small whereas you will be playing loose and overly aggressive, and not to large, where you are playing as so called ' scared money'. This idea has become very intriguing to me of late as I have ...

guest article ---- Table Talk - Mindless Chatter or the Key to Reading your Opponents?
Table Talk - Mindless Chatter or the Key to Reading your Opponents' Two weeks ago I write my first guest article for Pocketfives which was met with some relatively harsh reviews, some positive however, most were negative, claiming that my work was solely a forum for bad beat stories and was not worthy of being a front page article. This being said as I re-read my article I realized many of the criticisms were well-founded, however more importantly I discovered the connection between table image and table chatter, which will be the central focus of this article. In any given poker room ...

Re(2): Tagged as a LAG : good, bad, indifferent?
More importantly than the literal interpretation of the examples i provided in my article is this: How many players do you know who from have a bounty on thier head 6/10 times they play a certain live game' I have had players which are not even at my 5/10 or 10/20 table tell the rest of the table they will give them 100 dollars if they bust me first. My exmaples in the article were not well thought out since they do not support the aforementioned claims, however, my followup article will undoubtably do a better job of displaying HOW able image hurts. It is important to realize i obviously ...

Re(1): Tagged as a LAG : good, bad, indifferent?
In response to the players who have misunderstood the examples I employed in my article and the raise of K9dd UTG+1. During this particular session, of the 9 players at the table besdies myself, 4 were ultra-tight old-school poker players who play only terrtiary hands (JJ-AA, AK, AQ), all of which realize getting involved in a hand HU with me is not +EV. Of the remaing 5 players i had a very good understanding of thier overall play, understanding a majority of thier tells. This 5/10 is very intriguing in that a majority of players play any marginal hand as long as there is a multiway pot. ...

Re(2): NEED IMPUT ON CASH GAME HAND
Seat 5 is and always weil be a VERY loose player. I knew my KK qas good against him and if it was only heads up i would have stacked off without a sdecond thought. My concern was with seat 2. I have known him to play very well in a TAG style. Even when he raised initially to 65 i had him on a monster hand. But i do agreee i should have tested the waters with a reraise since my call of 135 showed i wasnt as strong as a wanted to show .
