Re:Are you guys able to stop playing when the doom switch is on? I don't believe in a "doomswitch", but I do believe that when you sit down to play a tournament, no matter the stakes, you have to detach yourself from the money so you can play your best game. I have started doing this recently. Ignore the final table winnings. Ignore the bad beats. Ignore the chat. Just play solid and the "doomswitch" will reboot itself. When you refocus your energy into proper play all the negative energy becomes positive and swings in your favor (oh god...I suddenly feel at peace with myself...lol) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:f ub (different problem?) I will never play on UB again. I played on UB for 2 years...then all hell broke loose. The software went to shit. The scandals broke. The customer service is piss-poor. What is really sad is UB could have been the best poker site ever if they would have focused more on their customers and responsiveness to software issues. I logged on a few weeks back just to see if anything had changed with the site and I quickly realized that UB has become the scum dweller of the poker community. I have found better online poker game software through non-poker gaming sites than on UB. I would not play on ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

PCA Webcast Dynamic Display Kudos to and their coverage of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure. The commentators and well-managed tournament had several bright spots. Watching players playing relaxed and having a good time was refreshing. The coverage you normally see of other tournaments the players are uptight and quiet. The personalities in the Bahamas helped carry the tourney to a dynamic level. The most interesting outfit in the tourney goes to “Red” and his overalls. The overalls brought back memories for me of my grandfather working in his garden. I guess overalls have a whole new meaning now. Good luck to all ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): *MESSAGE/APOLOGY FROM JJPRODIGY/JOSH FIELD** I believe that all people deserve a second chance. We are all quick to judge and throw a stone, but few know how to forgive. I want to personally thank you for apologizing to the poker community and I believe that you are sincere. Maturity comes with age and you are now realizing that what you did is wrong and that is the first step in maturing. I have been playing poker for 4 years and haven't won a major event online, but I still play because I love the game. Josh I hope that you have a great future in poker no matter what the poker sites decide. Good Luck! -- Kenny Posted in: Poker Community |

Re(1): Post Your Poker New Years Resolution My resolution is simple. Build my bankroll so I can play tourneys that only have fields of 300-400 people versus 2,000-3,000. I have not deposited on any site for awhile. I challenged myself to win some freerolls, play smaller buy-in events and use other people's money to play poker. To be honest.....I am getting impatient but I have to meet this goal so I can sleep at night....lol. P.S. It's alot easier to just make a deposit. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): To me, the size of the event adds to it's prestige I agree with Dumb Walrus. Daniel Negreanu was the true overall champion last year. Raymer walked away with the biggest prize pool but Negreanu walked away with total respect. I'm sure his performance last year on the WPT and this year has solidified him in the poker world as a true champion. I also agree that the WSOP is a truely unique event running tourneys over 30 days and covers all varieties of players. I hope the WSOP continues the tradition and making people millionaires. Re(2): Second reference to slave labor-it gets sickening I totally agree Beanie. I would consider it a privilege to play on the WPT if I had the option to do so. The pros should not forget where they came from and how they had to learn the game just like everyone else. Hopefully one day I will have the honor to play with some of the great players. I personally enjoy playing against the online pros right now. Everytime I sit down at my computer and play I learn something new. I have only played for three years and have not won a major online tourney yet (several small ones), but if I ever get to the WPT level I surely will not refer to it as being a ...
