Re:F*** Republicans
I don't believe everyone thinks that all poor people are just lazy, but do you really believe that if you are lucky enough to be born into wealth, someone helps you to get to the top, or you work hard/sacrifice to earn wealth, you should be forced to share with others more than they are now to bring them up' Someone has to be brought down to bring them up. How much should you be able to keep if you are wealthy'

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
Thats not really what I'm saying. What I am saying is that these people are rich. If someone started telling Bill Mahr that what he did for the U.S. didn't amount to a pile of peanuts, and that his salary should be cut to 150k, he would walk. It is big money pointing at other big money saying they make too much. They both do.

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
Do you feel that the medical community should have to accept less reimbursements with this public option' Why will the government not try to reimburse at better rates with the public option' Medicaid is literally charity work. The reimbursement rate is terrible. They have already said that this public option will not reimburse at a private insurance rate. I have a heart. I would love to help everyone, but I don't know too many people who enjoy working for nothing.

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
I'm not arguing that nothing should be done, I'm arguing this public option should not be part of it. It will lead to price fixing. I think it is ironic that Jim Carey, Michael Moore, Bill Mahr, yada yada complain about ceo pay.......look at their wallets

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
Sick of listening to all these hypocrites......Several of the supporters of this plan do not want to give up their piece of the pie but expect others to do it......if the government came into the jobs of most of the supporters of this bill they would be bitching and complaining........as long as it doesn't effect them they don't care

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
There is nothing worse than a hollywood actor complaining about what the ceos of insurance companies earn when many of them earn as much if not more.....I guess when they demand more per film, take huge endorsement deals, and hike up ticket prices, they just deserve it......they really make a huge difference in the world going round

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
They say they want a public option for competition.......well if no doctors accept it maybe its payouts will have to compete with private insurance so that anyone will accept it in their office

Re:Olympia Snowe votes with Democrats for Healthcare bill
If this public option gets passed and doesn't reimburse doctors like private insurance, I hope no doctors accept it in their practices. edit**Obama said it would be easy to lower cost by paying docs less, but he said he wouldn't do that....but that is part of this public option.......medicaid is basically a charity........i guess lets just add 20-30 million recipients to that.......

Re:Who wins this argument: Michael Moore vs. Hannity
People are not solely to blame. Banks got greedy, lenders got greedy, lowered standards enforced by the government. To rid the consumer of fault is also ignorant. The consumers too were greedy. People did not just buy homes they couldn't afford. They bought homes with these intrest only loans with nothing invested in the home with the idea that the homes would increase in value and they would make a good profit. When the values dropped because of the other aspects of the collapse, these peopled walked dumping the homes on the bank because to sell their homes they would have had to bring ...

Re:Who wins this argument: Michael Moore vs. Hannity
I think it was a great debate. Both sides made great arguments. I think scarface hit the nail on the head. Both sides made valid arguments and both, at times, were scewing the truth. To say someone won is ridiculous and its usually supported by those who have completely closed minds and follow whichever points support their "side". As far as polls go, Joe Trippi was a guest on Rachel Maddow's show the other night. Rachel tried to get him to bash a poll that argued that Americans were against Obama's health care policies. I couldnt find it on you tube. He wouldnt bash it ...

Re:Why do so many doctors hate America?
I am truly trying to be in the middle on this issue. I see so much dishonesty on both sides. I am trying to see how any of this healthcare plan would possibly work without lowering reimbursement to doctors and lowering quality of care.

Re:Why do so many doctors hate America?
I think the "visible" costs of malpractice law is not huge but the defensive medicine, extensive documentation, and malpractice insurance is more than the 2-3 percent that NPR stated.

Re:Why do so many doctors hate America?
Underdog, I don't think most doctors want someone to die because he/she does not have enough money to afford treatment. I understand that, if someone loses their job and their insurance is terminated, and this said person has a pre-existing condition, it is nearly impossible to get new coverage. If pre-existing conditions can not result in failure to cover a person, do you think (a)premium costs will remain the same or increase' (b)re-impursements to physicians will remain the same or drop' or a combo of both depending on your answers. Do you think malpractice reform is necessary' Do you ...
