I haven't played the 3r in forever, but a couple months after they were introduced it definitely tightened way up, not nearly as much shoving every hand. You would have to give it a try to find out if it's still that way as I tend to stay away from the 3r now.

I may be wrong, but isn't getting more chips -always- a good thing' I mean back when the $3r was first put on stars and it was a pure all-in fest I would still add on even with a stack of 100k going into the first break.

FTOPS XIV Warm UP game!
Here's the game, use a random number generator to get a number between 1 and 40,000 then try to place better than whatever number comes up. I think I need to go buy some lotto tickets before this starts! Good luck everyone that does end up trying it. Oh, and here's a random number generator for those that don't feel like looking for one. My goal is to place better than 24,327.

Honestly no, I check behind him simply because if he has a worse hand he's probably going to fold, and if he has a better one he's going to raise. I'd rather just check it and get the free information from seeing what he's holding than to put out a bet and risk getting raised in that spot. JJ, KK, AA are all likely hands in this spot, although I'm leaning towards JJ. Yeah, anyway, personally I check behind.

It's all good, I really don't care either way if you believe it or not; it's what happened. I knew that once they think they've figured someone out they'll refuse to change in their mind what kind of player that person is, so I made them think I was someone who would bet wildly and not have anything and then exploit that image I've placed in their head by waiting to get good hands. It's not exactly an advance strategy, but it worked out very well every month I played that game.

No real good big hand stories really, I mean the occasional double scoop. It's a 4/8 half kill limit game. so scooping a 4/8 and then a 6/12 pot against those guys usually is like +200 in 2 hands. lol.

I used to play a game at the casino every 3rd of the month that I felt guilty about. 3rd = Social Security day for those that don't know. It also was the only day an O8 game ever actually started at the casino closest to me. Anyway every month I'd go up there and do the same routine. for the first hour or two play the "I don't know this game" routine and drop $100 or so. From what I understand of the way online poker works, as per the wire transfer act the action of playing is said to take place where the transaction of funds occurred, therefore you were actually gambling at the resort where the P-stars servers reside where the legal age is 18, not 21. As far as Cali goes, it's all 21 there I believe' I've never actually played cards out there despite having been out to the Anaheim area many times.

Power Poker client crash issues?
Anyone else have issues with Power Poker's client crashing when having a lot of tables open' I was just 7tabling (trying to 8 but hadn't got a seat on my 8th table yet) and all of a sudden the client completely locked up on me, then after a few minutes 5 of my tables closed and the 3 that were up were not really working that well, and the lobby was frozen completely too. When I would try to restart the client it would tell me that I couldn't because I was still seated at tables. Eventually I solved it by forcing the client to close, then restarting it several times because the ...

I usually take a step back and analyze my game, try to see how it is I'm getting into the positions I get in that cause me to lose and see if there was a better way for me to play the hands I've lost. After looking over my game I'll usually go re-read some poker material (no whole books, just sections I feel I should look at based off my analysis) then I'll get back into the game. Understanding variance happens is really essential too, or else this game very well could drive you nuts.
