Northwestern Mutual?
Good friend of mine's 1st job out of school was with them and he swears by the experience. Said it was a great resume builder and opened alot of doors. He's now a hugely successful software sales executive pulling down $300K+. Agree with Willywoo, in that bigger question is whether or not you're cut out for hunter-style sales. If so, may be a good place to start.

Questions about speed traps/radar detectors
Good friend who's police chief tells me much less speed detection done at night because: a. Many depts on tight budgets and man hours are reduced at night. b. No need to put officers at risk pulling over cars in the middle of the night for speeding when scene is less easier controlled at night. Exception would obviously be group of officers working together or a targeted area to reduce drunk driving.

Poker in Hannover, Germany
I'm in Hannover, Germany tonight on business and was wondering if anyone has ever played at Spielbank Hannover. Was thinking of of heading there tonight (looks like they spread 2/4 EUR NL) and had several questions: 1. Will there be any issues with me be unable to speak German besides a few basic words' 2. What are expectations around tipping dealers since tipping is less prevalent here than in the US' 3. Do I need to wear a jacket' 4. What is standard buyin for the 2/4 game' 5. Anything else I should know' Obviously I can ask my hotel concierge, but they usually don't know much besides ...

The unthinkable happened this past week. I need opinions, thoughts.....Thank You
Your responsibility to protect your cards at all times. Also, good live tip is to wait until it's your turn to act to look at your cards. Allows you to carefully watch each player as they act and also limits you making a preconceived move based soley on the value of your hand. Had you done that, this problem would have been avoided as dealer would have focused on your actions at the appropriate time.

Hunter Pence is a Phillie.
If ATL got Pence what's the everyday lineup' Heyward sits' Prado to 3B and no Chipper' Braves need RH CF heck of a lot more than they need a corner. I could see them dealing for a RH platoon corner (think Cody Ross last year), but not a high cost corner. If they do get Quentin, shows that Wren has little faith in Heyward's bat and/or Chipper's health.

Temp to hire - how much raise to ask for
Previously worked 10+ years in staffing/recruiting including 2 years in pricing for one of the large multinational firms and 5 years as CFO for a smaller regional firm based in Atlanta. There can be huge variance in markups for clients in retail business (as opposed to national/regional accounts where the client was under contract for specific usage levels). But you can use the following as general guidance: Admin/Clerical positions: 35 to 50% markup (if they pay you $10/hr then expect them to be charging client somewhere between $13.50 and $15/ hr). Tax Help Needed.
Any advice other than "pay the taxes" is irresponsible. Tax return can be filed without making a payment and IRS will agree to a payment plan to settle the debt. The only question I will answer is #5. The penalties can be extremely stiff for someone who chooses to knowingly evade paying taxes. Any steps you take to "hide" the money would make the situation worse.

obv I would expect delays on the commission side- once something gets suspended, bureaucratic forces take over and nothing happens quickly. Couple that with how slow tilt is on EVERYthing and it's easy to understand the line. Highly doubt that Paddy Poker is setting the line based on any inside info.

Terms are of the wager are whether "Full Tilt will offer real money games on July 27th". Don't think it's a stretch that irrespective of the status of any potential deals, it's unlikely that they will be back up and running the day after the hearing. This is meaningless; just another stab at grabbing headlines by a half-assed attention whoring site.

Is anyone a paying member of LinkedIn?
Pretty sure you cant send a direct invite to connect if the person is totally outside your network (not 3 degrees or closer) or you don't know their email address. If you know where this person works or has worked, simply add that company to your profile and that should allow you to attempt to connect. Personalize the connection message and then go back and delete the company from your profile. The premium membership is used mainly by recruiters and sales people who use it for leads. Can't see much value in paying for that.

NO WAY he was just guessing (mods at 2+2 even unbanned him). This is my take (pure SPECULATION): 1. 2+2 Poster has limited inside info at Tilt or AGC 2. AGC gave ftp some sort of June 29th deadline at which failure to meet the deadline would mean AGC would consider ftp in default of their obilgations to players. 3. Recent rumored activity in Ireland may have been last ditch effort at meeting the deadline

Evidence exists that ftp had some sort of notice of this pending action. Poster on "the other site" started a thread several weeks ago essentially stating that June 29th would be doomsday for ftp.

Supporting mainstream media that support poker
My overall reason for this post is this: 1. Writers like Glockner crave attention and followers. They know that their future earnings potential is tied to their overall following (see Bill Simmons). 2. They tend to discuss topics which earn them more feedback and followers. 3. Glockner obviously understands the pro poker argument. 4. The more mainstream exposure, the better.

FTP US Player Update 5/30
FYP- seems pretty ridiculous to continue to refer to a generic account controlled by FTP mgmt as "Doug" when it's common knowledge that said employee left FTP a while ago. And this update sucks. Since they're admitting to being short on cash, why not pay out whatever portion they can now while continuing to work on raising the rest'' Shipping 50% (or whatever amount they have) now would go along way in helping those of us who are stuck.

You have an ear and/or sinus infection- only thing that will clear it is antibiotics. I hate doctors as well. Just go to one of those Minute Clinics at CVS. They just do the most basic exam and then prescribe the meds. Problem will be gone in no time.

OT Golfers - Fix my Snap Hook - 240 Frames per Second
Not a big fan of the path on your downswing- you're coming "over the top" on it. Try starting the club down on a more inside out path and then continue the swing with a wide finish. Hard to tell from the vid, but grip looks a little bit strong as well.
