Serious tipping thread.
Sounds like a pretty bad server, but also the perception of time can be a funny thing. If you actually waited that long during all those steps then by all means tip a penny. I almost always check my watch at places when we are seated to see how long it takes a server to approach me and also after I order to see how long the meal takes to arrive. I work in a hotel and was helping guests as another guest had to wait for our luggage attendant to return. I clocked it and she waited 6 minutes. are there any cavs fans here or anybody that watched those cavs teams that mike brown coached' has he always been terrible' karl is making him look like an idiot. he is being severely out coached. playing blake and sessions together as many minutes as he does is bad enough but then leaving blake on miller as he is continually getting smoked is laughable. why are these coaches so god damn afraid. guess this explains why lebron could never win in cleveland.

San Diego OT meetup (Saturday)
It's not an hour into Mexico, it's 30 to 40 minutes and that's from downtown San Diego. If you lived in the South Bay it would probably take you way less than that. The border crossing goin into Mexico is waaaaay shorter than coming back. It's all about time of day. Coming back is almost always a bitch but going into Mexico sometimes you don't even stop. TJ is way closer, as in, when you are 1 foot into Mexico you are in TJ. All that said the media has hyped up all the violence in Mexico. I could live the rest of my days and never go to TJ again, but I'm a little media fear mongering bitch.

I had my first lucid dream a few months ago, it was fucking radical. I knew I was a sleep but could control everything within the dream. I've had one since and it was way more melo but still really awesome. Just google it. You can totally train yourself to be able to lucid dream. Your friend pinching himself is one part of the process. You also need to recognize something in the dream that makes you realize you are dreaming, signposts I think they're called. For example you might see a 25 foot snail in your dream; if you can then realize that that is not right you can realize your dreaming ...

Are you in the wedding or is your girlfriend' If you are then you don't need to send it, they know you are coming. If not, you should've sent it a long time ago. The bride needs to turn in guarantee #'s and get a seating chart ready. You're just going to piss off the staff when you show up and say, "oh I need an extra seat at this table" Then your steak will get wiped on the servers taint.

Anyone ever stayed at an extended stay hotel? Any hotel employees on here?
I don't have any experience at any extended stay hotels. I imagine you could work out some kind of cheaper rate though. Would make sense relative to the hotel not wanting to have the room go vacant.

This. Since you are going to the zoo and trying to catch the cubbies I'd say you should stay downtown. You will need a car no matter where you stay. How long are you going to be here' I'd say a La Jolla day combined with the Torrey Pines hike suggestion from Z-Fresh would be a great day. One day for the Zoo to really take it all in but if you got to the zoo when it opens you could do that and the main points of balboa park in one day. Good question. Kobe's prime was wasted on all those post Shaq teams from 05-08. If they could've co-existed and if Shaq had the drive that Kobe has in his pinky they could've probably won 7 in a row. Probably about the same with Magic. Shaq and Magic's fun loving personalities would've gone together well and I think they would've loved playing together. Magic would've been the ultimate feed the big dog man for Shaq.
