Re(1): Are You My B****? Apparently, FTP says YES... Given that past WSOP champions havn't made that much through sponsorships 10 mlllion over 10 years seems very good. Plus during this time you can bet the FTP is going to promote you better than any of the current WSOP champions to the point where when the 10 years are up you still mught ber very marketable. Plus who knows if poker will still be that profitable 5 years from now. And the bestiality thing is fine as long as you have the right animals.. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Vietcong01 VIDEO!! (SuperTuesday Win) very interesting on the ah6h hand where he turn/rivers his two pair yet flat calls, turns out opponent made backkdoor flush. Given his reputation I would expect him to raise the river. Anyone care to comment on that hand' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Micro Cash 200+BB decision Any limits at .50/1 or higher this is easy fold against a regular (unless you know you are up against a fish). The only hand you can really put him on that you are ahead of is k6. I can;t comment on your game though since I don;t know how the average player plays in that game, but at higher levels going 400bbs deep here is clearly a losing play unless you know your opponent is a fish. Re(1): Should I kill my girlfriend? Seeing as humans have the semi-unique ability to speak to one another, I'd suggest confronting her. Re(1): Running Above Expectation The final table statistics seem pretty crazy. I've never come cross a 50% final table win rate, especially for a sample of that size. 1st to second ratio also seems near impossible to keep anywhere near that. BTW could satellite wins be skewing this' If thats the case then it;s not impressive obviously Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Karma is a Bitch Is this really angle shooting' Isn;t this just like in live poker when a harmless river comes and you let out a fake sigh or gasp. I don;t see how this come sclose to bending any rules like most angle shots do, I also don;t understand it cause not like anyone ever really types like that when they don;t make their hand :P, especially in this tourney. Re(1): Poker Lessons for Charity Before you decide to do this I'd make sure club sports is ok with it. The only reason I say this is that many american Universities are VERY against gambling and have strict policies. Although you would only be coaching it;s still something to consider (guess it depends how much info they want on the donations). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Who played this badly? Don;t limp qjo preflop especially from that position. Very rarely do you ever hit a monster, and your hand is easily vulnerable to straights or conterfit two pairs if you do make it. Plus the utg limper does not have enough chips. It's much more likely you hit a j or q and have no idea where you are at. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): What percentage of online poker players? ya it includes rake but not rake back. But ya wouldn;t be suprised if long run is 10% for a one year period playing regularly. I have one guy in my database who is considered a losing player for 3k, but when you include rakeback he;s actually a winner :P But very few play as much as him. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): What percentage of online poker players? That;s true, but the question was how many are winners not how many will make decent money in long run. There are plenty of players who will win a few hundred online and that will be the end of it. As I mentioned, if you want to be specific and use long run (infinity) then only .000001 percent wins due to rake (since eventually no new money can come in). There;s also the problem that good players stick around (and you see them more often), you'll rarely find a losing player who continues to play after 100k hands. So even if only 20% of players are winners long term it;s not uncommon to have ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Going from 6 back to 9/10 man games Am I the only one who finds it impossible to go from playing 6 man games to full ring' I'm very happy playing 6 man cash right now (and soem heads up) but I like to play tourneys once in awhile and just find it way too boring playing a full table (not too mention there are very few 6 man toruneys). Re(1): Are tourneys getting tougher(facts inside) It's tournament poker.... Nearly 90% will be losers if they all have small sample size (because of payout structures). There are probably only 5-10% of the field who are worth looking at mainly. Unless you get all of them to play a couple thousand tournaments you won't know how they really are, and the problem there is it's unlikely a crappy player will play 2 thousand tournaments, so they'll all be winners (except micon). On the other hand... tournament poker will be around for a long time as it attracts the most undiciplined players and those who are very results orientated (which is ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): What percentage of online poker players? Keep in mind this is not long term. There are many casual players who are winners. I have a database on 5 k plyers of which nearly 40% are considered winners. 15% sounds right if we forced everyone to play long run. Of course it should be aobvous that nearly everyone is loser if it really is long run (hence why there is a problem using a closed definition).... It;s hard to say who are winners and losers because you will get many players who are winners but only play once every few weeks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): What percentage of online poker players? 30-40 percent (cash games). That doesn;t mean they are hige winners but they don;t have losses. more than 100k' I would say easily less than 1%. But that doesn;t mean much because you are looking at players who play micro or very rarely too. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Is this standard or am I a donk? Good chance all your money was going in preflop but probably shuld have gone in differently. I don;t like the huge shove, but it;s not horrible either as some 4 dollar players will call with things like a10/aj. Otherwise I raise it to 1200 preflop. If he raises back he most likely are getting it all in. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
