Re:PLO8 Hand Question
Sure I have a plan for the hand...I'm gonna raise and if I see a flop that doesn't agree with my hand I'll fold... That's like saying if you raise pre with 88 in Hold 'Em and on a AK9cc flop and somebody shoves into you that your raise was a mistake because you didn't have a plan for the hand... OP had a plan for the hand...He had a flop that he has no equity on against a decent range so he folds... To say that in Omaha that you can be consistently profitable playing OOP is just frankly the most retarded statement I have ever heard in my life...

Re:PLO8 Hand Question
You raised preflop the flop is a great flop for you and now your being put to the test. You should not raise preflop unless your willing to get it in there on such a nice flop for your hand. And I'm actually quite new at this game, so could you explain to me how a K82, 2 club flop is good for a pair of Aces without a flush draw in Omaha 8/b... Thanks...

Re:PLO8 Hand Question
Reads on opponent would be nice...But without reads: 1. Folding preflop is NEVER right... 2. Folding on the flop is the correct play unless your opponent is a braindead moron...With any reasonable hands that are willing to get it in here, I would guess that you wouldn't be any more than a 55% favorite, AT BEST...Sometimes you are just creamed like if he has AL** with clubs (or really any uncounterfeitable low with clubs)...Even if he has decided to go crazy with an unsooted 6543, you are flipping... 3. You still have 25 BB left and can still use that stack to bully... For all those who ...

Re:Omaha Hi/Lo Cash Question
In playing similar stakes a lot I would be absolutely positively STUNNED if he showed up with anything other than KKxx, QQxx here...I don't advocate super nitty play ever, but I would turbo muck this in a second...You don't have very much invested in the pot, just your blind and $1 bet...Plus you're sorta starting to get deep here....There's just no reason to get your stack involved here... You are wishfully thinking that he has a wrap with spades...I would say if I had to put his range out there it would be 95% weighted towards overset and 5% to a wrap, but even assigning ...

Re:lets do an omaha hi/lo hand...
I don't post much anymore, but I couldn't resist posting in a thread made by my buddy TheRipcurl... Dude first off you just aren't that good...Get over yourself...Just because you shipped a tourney doesn't make you good at PLO8...I relish having you at my tables everytime you sit down... Wow you make 6BB/100...Something to be proud of...Let me know when you get your winrate up to 10+BB/100 hands and then we'll talk...Just remember you aren't a gift to the PLO8 world...Well actually you are because you don't think you have anything to learn...

Re:Omaha High/Low Cash Games in Vegas
THE HIGHEST OMAHA ONLY GAME AT THE BELLAGIO IS A 30-60 GAME WITH A 1/3 KILL... IT IS NOT A 15-30 OR 20-40...IT IS A 30-60!!

Re:Omaha High/Low Cash Games in Vegas
There is no such 15-30 game at the Bellagio...The Bellagio game is 4-8 or 30-60 (1/3 kill)... There is a 10-20 (1/2 kill game) at The Wynn...There is a 5-10 (full kill) game at the Mirage (very juicy)... Type in 'all vegas poker' in google and you will find allvegaspoker...Gives a list of rooms and the games that they spread...

Re:PLO8b inflection point, help me
1. It would be virtually impossible for any A2 to continue on that board if you raise on the flop...They would either have to have 98, 54, or a ten in their hand to think about continuing...And it would shock me if anybody limped with an A2 this late in the tourney... 2. If somebody else did have a set or a crap 98 and the CL did come along in the hand with "cheese" I would bet you had the correct equity to get in all in 3 ways...

Re:PLO8b inflection point, help me
That's a pretty horrible fold...What the hell are you waiting for to shove your chips in the middle'' You stated that this villian has been bullying the table...Do you honestly think he has anything remotely close to a good hand here' Yeah he probably has at minimum two pair, but you have the 2nd nut low draw (with counterfeit protection) a pair, and the nut flush draw and a backdoor Broadway draw... If the villian had been playing more conservatively I might peel, but this is a tourney...You don't get much better than this... SACK UP and SHIP IT IN... EDIT: With your stack you ...

Re(1): PLO .10/.25
Tough one with a very dry board and a raise and a reraise in front of you...If you don't put jj on KKxx here then you have to shove it in...If he is a person that you have consistently seen reraise with KKxx you have to go to the mat with your middle set...After all isn't that why we have reads in the first place'''

Re(1): Omaha H/L
Wow the advice here saying to stay in is HORRIBLE if this is pot limit you are talking about... In a limit game I can see staying in with multiple players in the pot... If this is pot limit you should muck so fast it would make people's heads spin... And for people saying you are mucking the current nuts, you are an underdog to 2345 with diamonds on this flop...

Re(2): Learning the correct time to shove in pl omaha 8...
Gamble, I agree with gambling it up...Trust me I'm not afraid to do that, even in a cash game...If we had A24Jss here I'm willing to felt it right then and there...But I'd definitely like a better spot to gamble it up...The problem with the way this hand was played out is that we don't close the action here...If we did that's one thing (because now we know how many people are in the pot, we can deduce some sort of hand ranges for our opponents, figure our equity, and play accordingly), but there are still a few people behind us to act and we don't know what they are going to do after we put ...

Re(3): Learning the correct time to shove in pl omaha 8...
That's a horrible reason to gamble it up...There are WAAAAAAAAAY better spots to get your money in than in this one... Our OP has 40+ BBs at this level, no reason to gamble it up when we most likely don't have an equity edge in the hand...If it were later in the tourney and our OP had less BBs then by all means, this is probably as good a spot as any to try to double up... Like I said, if your opponents are horrible and won't fold naked A2s then your equity in the hand PLUMMETS and without twodimes-ing it, I'm guessing you are going to have about 25% or less equity in this hand against a ...

Re(1): Learning the correct time to shove in pl omaha 8...
Wow PLO8 discussion, bitchin'...Aight this is pretty much the only game I play so here's my advice... What you did was far from a horrible play...You are drawing at the lock nut high and the 2nd nut low...Not too bad... HOWEVER it is a bad play for the following reasons: 1. The bet out on the flop was really bad...You are weak leading into 3 other people OOP...Your draw is good, but not great enough to make this play...And really at this point all you have is a pretty big draw... 2. You have 2300 chips at the 25/50 level...WAAAAAAAY to early to shove here... 3. Since you aren't drawing at ...

Re(2): Foxwoods World Poker Finals: Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament Experience (LONG)
It was my first mini-major live tourney...Was pretty cool...There were a few smaller named pros in the event which was interesting for such a low buy-in tourney...Paul Darden was there as was Chris Reslock...Just wished a few of those monster draws woulda materialized...I was just happy that overall I didn't really make any really dumbass plays that cost me a boatload of chips... Good catch on my post...I thought he had A3KT so he bet it out with 2 pair...He mighta had A2KT...I probably wrote it down wrong in my notes...I know I had the motley Q742 and got a free look at the flop and flopped ...

Foxwoods World Poker Finals: Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament Experience (LONG)
Since there is so little Omaha Hi-Lo discussion on here... From the $600 Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament The first table I was at was pretty good, no pros or anything...A few people who played too many hands and nobody too aggressive...LO8 is definitely not my game, I'm much more comfortable playing PLO8, but I read Capelletti's book and toned down the aggressiveness... Level 1 (25-25 blinds, 25-50 limits, starting stack 3000)...6th hand I get AA83, 3 spades to A high...I raised in MP (the first person to raise PF at the table) and got 5 total callers...Flop of Kd3d4h...Checked to me I bet and get ...
