opinions please, live cash game hand
I think it's real tough to find a fold here. The key question is whether or not he'd jam the river with a flush. Most live lagtards who were recently felted are probably going to be jamming a flush there I reckon. I suppose it depends on what he thinks of you as well; if you have a pretty solid image then that plays into it but if you have an aggressive image I don't think you can fold.

Need a hand history to review for video. $10-50 buyin
The ko would probably be perfect; I don't think I've done a ko video yet and I can talk about some of the strategy effects of that. Will pm you my email Thanks Demios - I'm going to get to a couple of the others that people have sent to me and then see where I'm at, but if I need the hh I'll pm you my email.

P5's Training Strategy Discussion: Hand From $50fo
A couple random thoughts/questions: I agree that pairs make up a huge part of the range of hands he flats you with preflop and then gets to the turn with. I think he quite possibly flats some premium suited connectors like 78s, 910s, J10s in this spot pre but is pretty unlikely to just pure float such a dry flop against you. Given his perception of you and the stacks, it seems more likely to me that he'd three bet AQ/AJ in this spot against you preflop than he would be to three bet his small and medium pairs, which again would weight his range toward the pocket pair hands. I also like ...

Re:PLO tournaments
I've made a handful of plo and plo8 tournament videos for pokerpwnage. I think they're pretty good and I spend a lot of time talking about different stack size considerations in tourney situations as opposed to cash.

Re:Quad aces in omaha
I play tons of omaha and would raise here as well. It's purely a bluff raise and I would never do it if the blinds were small but in the later stages you're likely playing against tighter players who are unlikely to call a raise with a hand not including an ace. I've been dealt AAAx many many times and have stolen the blinds probably 90% of the times that I've raised in 0/8. I've never gotten the quad aces but I'm sure that you're very rarely going to see someone call you.

Re:Am I crazy for folding here?
In PLO you are almost always going to be getting freerolled on this flop. A hand like 910Jx or 67910 has us totally crushed as we have no redraws at all. And when there's two other players in the vast vast majority of the time you're crushed if they ahve any idea what they're doing. If one of them has 910Jx and the other has two pair or a set you're in very bad shape. If it's a raised pot and there's a bunch of money in there or you have a very short stack I'd probably get it in but with a deeper stack I'm never ever ever shoving here. Of course, all that ...

Re(2): Am I an idiot for folding here?
rofl I'll take that as a yes Here's my reasoning, all of which is predicated on the villains in the hand being thinking players, as most are when there aren't many left in a deepstack tourney. I'm raising utg and when I fire that flop I'm not doing it w/ ak/aq etc out of position in a four way pot. The smooth call from utg +1 could be a flush draw w/ a hand like aq/aj of hearts or a hand like jj (what he had). Lykan thinks for awhile and folds and then the bb ships it there and what kind of a hand can he have' He has to give both me and utg +1 credit for a hand here. I can absolutely see a ...

Am I an idiot for folding here?
I just got moved to this table; I'd been playing good poker throughout, having been to only 12 showdowns through the first 6 hours of play and gathering a bunch of chips on the bubble. Then I get moved and this hand comes up. I have no read on either utg +1 or rampage, but I know Lykan Khan is tough and can be tricky. Re(2): does ne1 out there grind low-mid stakes tourneys for rent/bills etc?
I've done it for a long time. I mix in some cash along with sitngos and lots and lots of tourneys in the $25-$55 range. I've been playing for a living supporting my wife while she's been in school for the last two years; it can definitely be done. Obviously you can't tilt and have to be very consistent but it's certainly possible.

Re(3): The best low stakes players?
"The reason you don't hear about good low stakes players is because there is no such thing. Any good player would get ouf of 100nl/200nl/<50$sngs in under 2months with any devotion/br management/skills." This is a retarded statement. I've been making a comfy living never playing over $200 nl or $50 sngs for two years and like it just fine.

Re(5): Has anybody left a steady "real" job and went to poker full time?? Advice needed...
I don't understand why everyone thinks you need to destroy the games to make a decent living playing poker. You can make a steady living multitabling 1/2 NL or $30-$40 SNGs without too much difficulty if you're consistent and don't tilt. Also people say "Don't quit your day job" all the time as if they're comparing apples to apples. Spending time doing something you hate is not the same as spending time doing something you love (I presume you love to play poker). Most people in this country hate their job soooooo much, but because its the accepted thing to do they keep doing it. You're young ...
