thanks for the props swine.... i think that you need to stay under 33$ buy ins imo. your game is getting better but you and i both know that WE BOTH have alot to learn about the game. the only way to do that imo is to grind these low level buy ins. becides its fun knowing youre the best player at the table ....isnt it' and the bigger buy ins have a rude awakening waiting for you.....TRUST ME! resteals and raising 50% of pots dont work up there in big $$$ land. stick to what you know untill you can afford to lose the $100-$200 per "lesson". i just had my best week ever. as a matter of fact that weeek was better than any year i've had. now i feel the onslought of the 3 month down swing coming down on me......i will have to take the advise given in this thread. stay in my bankroll (havn't done that yet) and play my "A" game. which i think i always do but thats subject to argument.

i like the play.....maybe i don't get the question.....the only thing i woulda done different is MAYBE bet the flop instead of check calling. but in this case it worked out in your favor because it styed small enough for you to catch up.

heads up strategy
I have a bunch of second place finishes.....ive tried a wide range of strategies when i get heads up. i tried playin small ball. i tried playing huge pots when i'm pretty sure i've got the best of it. I've even tried the "kill phil" strategy....all in every hand. have i just gotten unlucky to this point or do i need to do something differently' as you know this is a huge problem sence the biggest $$$ jump in the tourny is between 1st and 2nd....my bank roll would be close to double if i could just finish..... your thoughts' #6JAM

AK here is a sticky situation.... i NEVER put in a 3rd raise with AK unless it's obvious that i have the best hand. i call the reraise and check raise if A or K hits. if nothing hits you check fold and you still got 11k which is still 25x the bb

first of all there is no reason to raise in that spot pre flop...in these low limit tournies you're not getting rid of anyone preflop. so i suggest limping in a spot like this EARLY in these tournies. that way you are not playing huge pots with people with a lesser skill level than your self eliminate as much luck as you can......... in this case you would have saved a bunch of coin by limping, then betting the pot after the flop(much smaller than the way it happend.) then its no big deal to lay down the straight. cuz youll have a much more decent stack to work with. second, when the blinds ...
