Final Table Chip Dumping for Cash If I am at the final table with a big stack and the short stack (a top pro) gives me cash to dump my chips to him is this collussion' Is this cheating' Ok most people say this is cheating, well how about if I am at the final table with big stack and a top pro gives me cash so he can play my account the rest of the way, is this collussion' Is this cheating' Some people here say Multi-Accounting a tournament is cheating but buying someone's seat isn't -- Is this not a different version of Multi-Accounting with a higher "Buy In" and choice of when to enter and with what stack' Some may call ... Re(2): Attempted Cheat Unsuccessful (Aaron Been) I have to disagree that buyig someone's seat deep in a tournament is nothing like playing multiple accounts. One would play multiple accounts to increase there chances of getting deep and has an advantage over those playing just one seat. Buying someone's seat is pretty much the same thing only you're paying a higher "Buy In" price for your second seat because you get to choose the seat that is already deep and has chips. I play mostly $3-10 tourneys and my winnings are probably less than the price I'd get for selling a seat I had deep. But reading these posts, I now wonder if I had fallen ... Re(7): Great Article by Lee Jones. Save the fish! (for later) If sites wanted to actively prevent software programs such as pokertracker and huds from running, datamining, and displaying statistics, it is possible to a degree. They can update their software to prevent it from running or allowing you to play while "banned" programs are running. Have you ever tried to install a program that detected another third part program running and alerted you that it may conflict or instructs you to uninstall it or close it first' The software and scan the running processes on your system and determine if you are running these programs. Re(1): World Series of Poker Complaint entrants Although the fields may be smaller in these events doesn't make them less impressive. Rather than playing at tables full of unkown players, thes pros are playing at tables full of other pros. Look at the names at the final tables of these events ... think winning that bracelt was "easy". WSOP events pre-Moneymaker were smaller fields with fewer than 100 entrants. Even the Moneymaker main event win in 2003 was only 839 entrants. Yes, it's more difficult to navigate through the large fields, but with the smaller fields with more pros at the end, it just may be tougher to navigate the final ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 14,999 Tales of Woe. (Sunday Dime Bust Thread) I think one of our players got lost and ended up at the WSOP main event... (posted in live reporting at ) This Isn't a Training Seminar The WSOP offered a boot camp this year, where some top pros would teach the intricacies of tournament poker. Apparently, some people got confused about which was the boot camp and which was the Main Event. They needed some introductory lessons at Table 118. On the turn with a 10-high board, the player in seat 4 bet out, and the player in seat 8 called. That's pretty standard action for the turn, except for one thing -- the player in seat 4 then turned over ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Was i to predictable or is this guy to good Shove the flop, even if you shoved turn he likely goes away. By the time you called turn and let him catch the 6 on river, he only needed to call 3,000 chips to win the 14,000 already in pot and if he was beat, well he still had 7000 chips left (more than most at table). Guess he figured it was worth a shot that you were bluffing since he'd have 24,000 chips if we was right and was ok if he was wrong. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): help with 1/2 nl live I gave live play at 1/2 a shot last week, 15-20 raises were normal preflop to see flop 3-4 handed. I looked down at AA and reraised to 45 after inital raise/callers came in at 12. Still got 3 callers and got a call on flop for rest of guys chips because he was short felt pot committed with 78 suited on a 35J rainbow flop. The aces held, I thought, I love this table. Also, I notice that some players can't fold a flush or straight draw to any bet....also nice. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Hellmuth and insurance (Is there any benefit to him) something like this (several times)... Hellmuth Doubles Again On a board of Ben Fineman bets and Hellmuth immediately moves all in. Fineman makes the call and Hellmuth tables . Fineman tables and before the turn comes Hellmuth yells, "I want insurance where's Ivey'" When Hellmulth asks him for insurance Ivey replies, "Oh, you got it, what is it (in reference to what the cards are)." After looking it over they decide that Hellmuth will risk $30,000 to Ivey's $90,000. The next two cards come , and Hellmuth doubles up.
