FTP Echecks Dep and w/d options
Sorry if this has been posted about a lot lately, but I am trying to find info to share with a potential backer. I have used instant e-checks for FTP in the past and they have worked fine. Now that we are post June 1st. Can I expect to deposit money this way' Also as recently as a couple months ago it was very easy to w/d and have $$ put right back into my checking account. Is this still the case' If not what are my best options for depositing and w/d'ing as a US player' Thanks for any info...

Consolidated WSOP Live Coverage Thread
I have found Pokernews to be horribly slow and it has taken me to the wrong page many times. Trying to follow progress of 50k tourney...any other good sites to use ( and Cardplayer haven't been great either)' I suppose another option would be to get a life and go out on a Friday night...

Re:Micro tourney turn spot
Thanks again. I have been in a rut lately and def. have run bad in a few big spots, but I am convinced there is much more I could be doing to build stacks in the early and mid stages. These are spots I used to avoid but just wanted to make sure my head is on straight and I try to improve/work through this stretch.

Micro tourney turn spot
Table had been playing pretty tight, including the villain. I was probably the most active at the table, but that isn't saying a whole lot. Hadn't shown down any weak hands. Can I call on the turn here' I thought a set was possible along with a lot of combinations of broadway cards with a diamond. It's pretty hard for me to be drawing dead here. Wasn't quite sure what to do in the moment. PokerStars Game #44463393304: Tournament #275451469, $1.00+$0.25+$0.15 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level V (30/60) - 2010/05/22 14:15:11 ET Table '275451469 8' 9-max Seat #7 is the ...

Re:hand in microstake tourny
I agree with Blue... Either way though, this hand is a perfect example of how important it is to assign ranges as accurately as possible and get reads on people asap. It's easy to throw a range out there for an opponent...but what a difference having a solid read, and thus accurate range, for an opponent in this type of situation makes.

Re:hand in microstake tourny
Exactly...I am asking what hands can you put in his range that WE have beat considering the post flop action' Edit: You did say broadway spades, but just b/c there are several combinations of those doesn't mean they are as likely.

Re:The Sickest/Most Epic Live Poker Hands
Certainly true. But as hands on television go (where we almost never know the history that you are talking about), it is pretty sick and def. fits in this thread. My even bigger point is that it shows how bad ass he is that he doesn't show...I would be giddy beyond believe and would not be able to resist showing that bluff.

Re:Sick spot on .50/1 table
He has odds to set mine and if he has been pretty spewey it is certainly a possibility. Not sure what I would do but I don't think you can take 66 or 22 out of his range. The $13 bet on the flop might be a little on the small side...He may have just decided to call and bluff later. However, set seems most likely

Re:The Sickest/Most Epic Live Poker Hands
The fact that he doesn't show makes this even more amazing. If I ever tried this...first of all I would be wrong and run into the nuts....but IF I was right I am absolutely showing lol. One of MANY reasons Ivey is better than me.

Re:Help out a noob
Best thing to do imo is to read strategy posts/articles by respected players. Bond18's Things It Took Me A While To Learn is a good series, but there are several other things to read on p5s and 2+2. Also if you can afford the investment...training sites can be extremely helpful. Just try to keep a realistic assessment of your own abilities in mind and work to improve. I would probably do well to follow my own advice in that regard lol.

Re:semi deep daily dollar wtf spot?
Also fwiw, I play mostly $1 and $2 mtts and I have found that these min raises tend to be relatively weak...they feel they should raise but don't want to lose too much if they get 3-bet. Tend to think this is more likely than AA or KK trying to be tricky.

Re:is it possible to be successful at low stake mtt's
Mostly this, but I find that there are very very few spots where 4-bet bluffing is realistic. Stacks are almost never deep enough and micro/low stakes players love to call...very few are 3-betting light consistently enough to 4-bet them as a bluff. I don't think you are making a huge mistake if you avoid 4-bet bluffing as you continue to work on other areas.
