Backing Controversy with JYMASTER11 (warning very long) It really looks like jy saw what he wanted to see. Obv Moorman wasn't able to hold up his end of the deal, but like many have said after BF just about everyone is having financial issues and people should be a bit more flexible in what is considered standard practice. Obv after they agree to an arbitrator then this is all moot once the arbitrator rules in the favor of jy. Posted in: Poker Community |

Live 2/4 Facing 3rd Barrel on River I stopped reading after this. I have no idea why we're raising so small preflop when we are > 100xbb deep. This is especially true in a live setting where people's calling range has nothing to do with the size of our bet, but the value of their cards. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Small Pairs OOP, Best Play? This depends on the villain(s). I'm ok with giving it up with only 60 chips invested instead of having to essentially play the rest of the hand oop and with my hand face up. Please don't ever fold this pre. You are getting 50:1 implied odds. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

do not look or act like a noob on the felt While I have disagreed with about 99% of what the OP has said on this forum to date I have to agree with the statement of not looking at your cards until it is your turn. Certainly, you should do what makes you feel the most comfortable, but there is a lot to be said for waiting to look at your cards until it is your turn. First, you are paying attention to the action on the table and perhaps your opponents will give something off. Second, if you haven't looked at your cards it is impossible for you to give anything off. It's funny how many people look at their cards ahead of time at a live ... Posted in: Live Poker |

do not look or act like a noob on the felt Especially in sacramento and northern california in general. Jeez these games are soft as shit. And to give another confirmation of playing HU at a casino I was playing at the el dorado in Reno a couple of years ago and a stupid trucker guy sat down and proceeded to be a douche. I challenged him to HU4ROLLZ he agreed. I got the floor's permission, he got us a dealer, and the guy left. These places will spread just about anything if they have the space, the dealers, and if you pay enough rake. Posted in: Live Poker |

Hand History Review Please. 2-5 Live Cash game Hands. hand1: Seems fine against most live players. A lot of them peel 1 barrel and will fold to the 2nd on these types of boards. Given your image I might just give up on turn though. hand2: fold pre. As played, I think flatting oop on flop here with no pair and no draw is unnecessary and a super money spew. hand3: I think you should be raising less on the turn. I like 275-300 which gives us 1psb for a river shove. hand4: Fold preflop only 70xbb deep (straddle). As played I wouldn't donk the flop. I would simply check/call and re-evaluate the turn. Consolidated Fold AA/KK Preflop Thread i don't like the 6-bet sizing. I think ur better off making it like 825 (maybe even a good spot to cib) leaving yourself slightly less than 1psb going to the flop and obv calling a shove. Part of me likes just calling his 5-bet tho and c/ring all in on most flops. You said he can be light here so you can keep in all of his 5-bet bluffing range. Posted in: Bad Beats |

laid KK live cash game I don't understand the math people are throwing out in this thread. There are more combinations of flopped sets then there are combinations of QQ, but it's not anywhere close to 3:1. It's actually 3:2. There are: 3 * (3 choose 2) = 9 combinations of flopped sets 4 choose 2 = 6 combinations of QQ. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Interesting hand from Pokerstars big $11, near the bubble, flopped straight OOP We have slightly less than 1.5xpsb behind. I'm torn between checking and letting him hang himself or betting small to induce. I don't think you can really go wrong here with any line you decide to take. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AK off in live 2-5 game... I must be missing something here with all the people saying we should be folding. We have AK and 32xbb and some guy 3bets us from his straddle and a shorty calls off 13xbb. This is one of the easiest shoves ever. Posted in: Live Poker |

RSA Token Security Breach Hackers were able to "clone" the RSA tokens and were able to successfully access lockheed martin. They were able to do this by figuring out the seed (input to the psuedo-random number generator tied to each token and user). The RSA algorithm is already publicly available so if an attacker can figure out the seed to someone's token they can predict the values displayed on the token at any given time. Because of this all SecureIDs will be replaced. Posted in: Poker Sites |

casino 1/2 hand You are obviously a super great player which is why you posted a super standard hand in which you played terribly on all streets (except the flop where you checked correctly) and then berate everyone when they tell you that you played the hand horribly. On the turn when you get C/Rd by a tight live player that has taken this super strong line you should be folding 100% of the time unless you have an explicit read. Live players don't take this line ever without a monster instead since you are such a beastly poker player you decide to put in good money after bad and bleed your profits. Please ... casino 1/2 hand Being a good poker player is about always making the right decisions at every opportunity. The fact that you are raising J5s UTG is just awful, certainly -EV, and wrong to do so. Who cares if you didn't ask about preflop. The fact is you shouldn't ever be in this situation in the first place. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Wierd AK spot 4 handed in $11 turbo on stars Actually you misread the matrix. We can call with AKs (according to ICM) if the button calls and we are overcalling. If it is simply bb vs co we need TT+. I'm actually unsure at the moment of what we should do because this guy is not shoving 53s. He is certainly not shoving close to 55% of hands. I'm thinking that his range is going to be shaped in such a way that we are going to be dominating a good portion of it. For example, just pairs, Ax, big Kx, and broadway hands. We might have enough equity against this range to justify a call since we are going to be dominating a pretty good ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Wierd AK spot 4 handed in $11 turbo on stars Those numbers are actually very close to my assumptions. Remove the 15% of the prizepool from everyone and you have 1st= 22% 2nd = 12% 3rd = 5% Sum left = 39% So 1st gets 22/39 or 56.4% of the prizepool, 2nd gets 30.7, and 3rd gets 12.9% To humor you though, it is still TT+ according to ICM NE.
