Re:Thoughts on Amount of Makeup i really dont now why people want to put exact numbers to decide if people they back are playing bad. if your a serious backer you should be watching your horse when he doesnt know and make sure he is playing good. if hes not playing bad then that should matter more than the loss as a backer because its going to turn around if he keeps playing consistently good poker. you cant just say you ran bad for 2 months and i didnt watch you but i dont think your good, i mean that sounds ignorant and naive to do this. people get way to above their heads with backing and really cant handle the swings. ... I was staying with sooners last may- mid june of 08 and had watched him win 300k playin 25 50 plo and nl on stars. By the time he played on my account i had full knowledge i would be payed back and did not think this was a big deal. He lost the 13k that was in my account and between both of us has paid all but 4500. That was my reasoning, I dont know why i would let anyone go on my acount and play cash games but thats just what happened. i am in no way a cheat/scamartist, im simply a guy who got caught up in a wrong situation and trusted people ... Re:What is the difference.... ok raise call depends on position imo say u have like aj utg with 9-13 bb's u dont wanna raise say at 2-400 with 4200 and get flatted if u raise to 1k and thus if u flat and miss u shove give ur oppoentn cheaper draw with like kq or wahtever they call with as if u shove they will fold those hands usually like for 9-13 blinds utg never raise call cuz it looks to obvious even if u have aces , i play mostly same for mp as well except hand range opens up a bit more to say a8 suited or any pair even aces to shove bc the blinds are so meaningful to ur stack that its retarded to just raise call ... Re:Flopped set in the 320. How do you play the turn? if you think this guy cannot fold a pair on the flop then get it in on flop by raising to like 1500 total to make it look like he has fold equity if he gets shoved on. i mix it up here but i think flat flop flat turn get it in on any river is the best play probably because the flop hardly has a draw that hed raise utg with assuming hes a bad player but usually people dont raise that light utg even if they suck because preflop is where everyone is pretty standard here i mean theres obviously differences in players etc but i wouldnt be scared of any river and call it a cooler if he hits the ...
