Borgata vs. Taj Tourneys Both have $300+40 tourneys on Saturdays. I'm trying to figure out which one is better. It looks like Borgata has a better/slower structure and more starting chips. Anybody play either of these' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Unregistering vs. Playing $530 Event I think it depends on your financial situation. If you have a stable job with a relatively good salary and can always make a 500-1000 deposit (if you completely lose your BR) without impacting your life, then taking a shot may not be that bad an idea. If you're a high school/college student or have other financial problems then obviosly $500 is a pretty big deal and there are better ways of using it then on a single tourney with 2000 people. However, a better idea regardless of your financial situation and what I'll start doing from now on is using the $T to keep playing these qualifiers. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Questions about the rankings Email or FTP shouldn't cause them any problems. And if the sites see it as an advantage/advertisement for them they'll want to do it. The sites know about , they don't know who you are Craig. That's one of the reasons I decided not to do it, they wouldn't want to waste their time with a random unknown person. But if P5 approaches them, they might consider... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Questions about the rankings Even though I am not a ranked player (far from it at this point) I have been thinking about the ranking system and the way it can be improved for a while. For what it’s worth I’d like to give my suggestion to the P5 staff on what I believe will greatly improve the validity of the rankings and help promote the site in general. Here’s what I propose: Develop a tournament history database (similar to but with additional capabilities) Setup an interface with all the biggest sites to receive tourney histories. This can be as simple as a batch update once a day/week or as complex as some b2b ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
