Foxwoods and Mohegan IMO the Foxwoods card room smells awful which is why I almost always go to Mohegan. As for the games they offer the other posts covered it well; if you're looking for PLO then FW is the place to go. If you bring $1k then you'll only have two buy-ins or so at 2/5 so 1/2 may be better. The 1/2 field at Mohegan is pretty weak with the usual cast of characters. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Can I sell my entry into the Main Event? Thanks for the help. The satellite is live (at the Rio btw) and through the WSOPA. I am going to guess that they will just give the winner chips so I'll follow your advice and try to sell them should I decide not to enter. Thanks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Can I sell my entry into the Main Event? This weekend I will be playing in a sort of satellite to win an entry into the Main Event. It's a long story as to why I'm playing in it, but I am considering selling my entry should I win seems the Main Event is far beyond the size of tourney my bankroll would normally allow. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing' This is a legit transaction (i.e. entries are transferable), right' Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:fuck ftps doomswitch I can't decide which one is worse. AA cracked by AK is the worse feeling in the world. With the possible exception of a crystal meth hangover. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Why you don't limp utg with AA I think he made the right play. When you're short stacked with a monster hand you want to get as much money in the pot as possible and take your chances that someone might out flop you. It's the best way to get back to a competitive chip stack. If you lose, so be it. If your hand holds up you can triple up or better and get back in it. Unless of course you're not really trying to win and you're content to survive as long as possible. Posted in: Bad Beats |

How to handle river overbets I'm not going to provide a specific hand example because I'm sure you have all seen this a million times. Here is the general situation: you're in a multi-way raised pot. Someone takes the lead on the flop with a 2/3 or 3/4 pot sized bet. You call with something like top pair no kicker, or middle pair, some type of weak, but made hand. The turn doesn't help and the leader min-bets. You flat call as you want to control the size of the pot (this may be a mistake though). The river isn't necessarily a scare card but doesn't improve your hand. The leader makes a pot sized ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Bad beat or crooked game? I am a winning $1/$2 player at my local casino and recently tested the waters at $2/$5 playing well ending up with two winning sessions out of three. I am not a great player, but solid and better than most casual players at the casino. I started playing a local underground cash game where I know the caliber of player is higher than at the casino but I wanted to play a more challenging field to see how I would do and what I could learn. I had a winning session the first time I played there and then lost the last three times. The last time I lost my stack in a suspicious hand and don't ... Posted in: Bad Beats |
