I doubt your going to get a light 3bet from someone here based on your stacksize, esp. from a tight nitty player like he mentioned. That said, this might be one of them weird spots when a min-raise/fold to about 250 isn't that horrible.

Most likely yes. Poker is like anything else, if you haven't practiced your game for awhile then you are more than likely not going to be as sharp in spots like these like you used to. Its the fact that you say that "you knew" the right play and yet still took a completely different line that has me scratching my head.

Sorry not trying to be rude but based on the fact that you say "you knew" you should have raise/folded 10bb's from utg after making it 3.3x you can't be very solid like you think. You should have either open jammed of open folded, nothing else. A8+, AXs jam and probably open fold the rest of your A rags, might be a tad off but close enough and you get the point.

Staying away from Casino Games/Blackjack
Just a matter of self control and acting professional about trying to earn a serious living as a gambler. If you have to ask this question then its obvious you lack the self control and discipline to make a serious living gambling. If your only a recreational player and poker is not your main source of income then its not that serious an issue since you have money coming in from other outlets, but its still cutting down your overall income nonetheless.

3b smaller first of all and I am likely calling in this spot. By 3betting smaller you are allowing much more room to induce a light 4bet, thus making it a 3b/call imo, especially given the dynamics you explained in your OP. That said, I still am 3betting smaller even if I intend on 3b/folding. Why 3bet over 13k when 10k gets the job done just the same'

You should be asking whether to 3b/call or open shove here, flatting is not even an option. If you think a smallish 3b will induce a light 4b, then you are better off 3betting. If you think by jamming he will perceive you as weak and call off light, then jam.

Yea I agree, definitely some confusion in his post but I'm guessing this is after the break and rebuy period with blinds at 500/1000. Also, can't imagine there is no ante at this point if I'm correct by assuming they are at 500/1000 .

Live tourney 20 buy in 3000 chips unlimited rebuy until break at 1 hr 20 min After break blinds 1000/500 I jam all day here, just a cooler. You would need some sort of sickening read to fold JJ here w/ 16 bigs.
