Heads up SNG's - how many can you play? In light of this Boku prop bet, where he is playing 600 sng's a day, I was wondering what people thought was the maximum number of heads up sng's one could play in a given day profitably or break even. Assume pokerstars turbo sng's....how many do you think is possible' Really just curious, not trying to attempt anything. If you have played high volume in a day, how many did you play at a time, what was your winning % approximately, and how many hours did you play' Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Shoving 66 against a FISH on the button!! STANDARD?? Against another big stack here why not throw in the extra 3k and try to hit the set and win a big pot potentially. Minraise always seems suspicious, and you have enough chips where it isn't a raise or fold situation. There is no shame in seeing that flop and check folding here...there are many flops that look better for 6s, and you can play the hand accordingly, but I think shoving is an unnecessary risk. Just my opinion. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Is folding AKo here way too nitty? It's not that I think your fold is such a mistake, but I think it is hard to sit around and wait for perfect situations in online tournaments...getting AK all-in vs short stack in almost certainly a coinflip or better spot is pretty good...I can definitely understand your point though. AK is one of those hands that I'd rather be able to re-raise and take pots down preflop when the blinds and antes are meaningful during the later stages of the tournament, and i hate having to deal with it too early on in the tournament. But online in that spot, I'd have to play it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Is folding AKo here way too nitty? And now for a serious response... I think you are almost always against hands like 99-JJ or AQ here, and considering this player has less than half your chips I think the fold is too tight, especially online where you can't really sit and wait forever. AKo can be folded in a lot of situations, even when you are pretty sure you are not up against AA or KK (despite what many players think), but here I think you should play it...I'd make it 2400 and guarantee that you see 5 cards by putting the shorter stack all in. Calling and missing the flop and folding is not a better option in my ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Won a $4 180 playing blind (hh inside) Great vid, I think people will learn a lot from it. I submitted an article on this site about something similar I tried to pull off in a live tourney (people don't read guest articles here though since they are impossible to find). I was able to FT a live tourney by only going to three showdowns, and my strategy was similar. It is an interesting read if anyone is bored at work or something :-) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Venetian Daily Tournaments Anybody ever play in the $550 Friday/Saturday NL tournaments at the Venetian in Vegas' Was thinking of going down there because they start you with 10k chips and 40 min levels, which sounds decent. Was wondering how many people usually play in it as well. Anyone know/have any info about these' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Best hand to have vs AA Just another point about suited connectors for the hell of it. Sometimes if you are a desperate short stack in a tournament situation, you might want to take a chance with suited connectors and give yourself a chance to win the tournament or at least get back in the hunt, especially if you are getting a good price. Look at the numbers for this hand for example, just for fun.
