How long do Borgata Sat morning tournaments last? Going down next Sat. 12/2. I play really bad when I have to be somewhere and don't want to go deep and blow it because I'm meeting up with people that night. Estimate of how long the 11am 150 takes to get to the final table' Thanks. Posted in: Live Poker |

Consolidated Moved from PD Thread This is basically what I tried to say on page 2. The reason are started this thread was to look at the question from a "game history" point of view, which I felt was going overlooked. That said, it is now pretty clear that high stakes are definitely harder with and because of that familiarity. But, I'm thankful 56 was able to hijack this thread and make everyone smile. :) Posted in: Bad Beats |

Consolidated Moved from PD Thread I think a lot of people (low stakers) are thinking about specific bad beats that they've taken in their games and saying thats what makes it harder. I think that's where all the frustration comes in, the losing but not the gameplay. HS, the frustration comes from being put into difficult situations from playing the top tier opponents. In that case, high stakes is clearly harder. /thread Posted in: Bad Beats |

Consolidated Moved from PD Thread This is kind of a stupid question but hear me out, this is not a "why me" plea. Low stakes you're playing with thousands of people that you know nothing about. it is tough to always be at tables that you have no history or accurate hand ranges for. Most of them suck but you never know and you are often surprised either way. On the other hand, HSMTTS are filled with predominantly the best players in the game. In that sense, you have more familiarity with your competition and can try to adjust accordingly, i.e. the 1K final table hand with 77. I understand that the history can ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

RUSH poker sng strategy I have honestly only played a handful of these but I'm starting to feel that any shove preflop is a big pair and that its much better to see a flop with hands like AK/Q, 1010/JJ. I was trying to play similar to the 90 ko's but it seems the play is much more TAG. Is anyone grinding these successfully and what are the biggest challenges/oppurtunities' Thanks. Final 2 tables in 32k vs known limper WWYD? Is he limping and betting at every pot' if so maybe you want to shove. if not I think your stack has fold equity if it folds around to you in late position. whats "pd'ed" Posted in: Poker Discussion |

yet to ship my first MTT :( I've only won like 3 mtts ever. Ive been playing for like 5 years. I would suggest playing like 45s and 90s just to get used to final tabling, closing and winning. In that order. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

WCOOP/SCOOP Main Event "Udon Wannit" (multi-acct. ?) whats gross is that I can't sign my name to AJK's list. Like a year ago, my roommate and I were in some micro stakes tourneys and ended up at the same table in both and we definitely manipulated pots to gain us extra chips and we were able to go deep in the tourney. Neither of us won either, but I believe I was able to final table one of the them. Other than that we've definitely explained what either of us would do in a tricky spot during a tourney. It's nothing huge and I don't lose sleep at night, but threads like this definitely make me regret it as well make me ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

50-50 hand on FTP.......worth a look.. I don't really have a problem with your preflop bet size but I think it's pretty early to start making these cheeky raises. The small raises invites in weird hands which I believe you need to punish when it's clear you have the best hand. If 87s is in your opening range then you're opening wide enough that you're losing small pots but winning bigger ones and this seems like one of those bigger pots you should be taking down. 50-50 hand on FTP.......worth a look.. It sounds like you're not betting the turn because you might get check raised. But you also say that it's possible he could do this with a worse hand. I'd much rather bet here and make a decision if he raises. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I always seem to get into spots like these with AK, AQ, AJ, KQ is this a 90 man' You have to bet that flop. Bet like half the pot, youll get him to fold most of the time. If he raises, fold. If he calls, make a decision on the turn but it's ok to just shut down. Cbetting is so profitable in these. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
