Major rankings changes coming 8/1
No matter what changes P5s and Adam propose there are always going to be complaints. Generally speaking I think p5s does a great job with the rankings and it's not an easy task. Gags posts are very good and I agree with most of what he has to say. Black Friday Caused a big stir in the rankings and I personally didn't adjust my pro poll since. My reasoning was that I wasn't competing against everyone anymore so how am I going to judge who plays really well and who is on a heater' I liked the idea of a propoll but thought the weight of it could be lowered a bit. As gags said the rankings will ...

The Real Annie Duke
Annie is a liar and everything that comes out of her mouth is complete bullshit. Her and Howard are scumbags and thieves. I was sponsored by UB years ago and stopped playing there immediately after I left the site and told people to do the same. Those two have helped ruin the poker industry and have given all poker players a bad name.

Depositing on stars after rellocation
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone had advice for the quickest way to get money on pokerstars after relocating. I am moving to Canada next week and I wanted to deposit 5 or 10k. I looked at money bookers and the limits were too small when you first open an account. Thanks for any help. Ps I can't wait to start clicking buttons again.

The Opposite of Taking the Plunge
Gl Devin. What type of job did you end up getting' I am at a similar crossroads where I am debating on getting a "real job as well. I am pretty worried about my resume. How has the interview process gone when you told potential employers that you have been playing poker for the last 6 years'

FTP US Player Update 5/30
I guess you are right...at least they finally admitted they are having cash flow problems. I just can't believe how poorly they have handled this entire situation. When they come out with these updates I expect them to actually update us with something. I already knew about the cash-flow problems so this update didn't provide me with anything I didn't already know. I wish they would have been more up front with us about the problems from the start. A tentative time table would be nice and all the smaller things could be taken care of while they "raise capital" such as fpps for cash, players ...

FTP US Player Update 5/30
Another joke update. How do you guys honestly think this is a step in the right direction' Once again an update that says absolutely nothing. Great job full tilt. How can a company as big as full tilt handle a situation so poorly.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Full tilt obviously is having cash flow problems. This is why the government needs to regulate online poker.

Thanks for the idea. Time isn't an issue now so I really just need to get back into the gym and stop being so lazy. Thanks mate! I play so much off feel so trusting your reads are huge. Sometimes before I even open I know a certain player is going to 3 bet me so you just gotta trust your gut and trust your reads hopefully you are right. The biggest thing in making the jump from low to midstakes is that first big score will give you some confidence and from there you just need to constantly try and improve. Don't get content and become lazy. Just absorb yourself in the game. Thx gl to you ...

Thanks glad people have enjoyed it! Hey David, Thanks! I have always enjoyed are dinners at foxwoods and I assume we will be having alot more with no online poker in the immediate future. You are one player who I never want to see at my table down at foxwoods because you really do a great job of putting pressure on the other players at the table. Thats a great question. I will never move to another country to play online poker and I don't think I am cut out to be a live pro but Im sure some success can change that. I just get tired of traveling relatively quickly and I really enjoy the ...

No idea. Gonna wait it out for now and see what happens. I will play more live poker in the next couple months I'm still alive and enjoying my vacation in Aruba with my wife as I write this. Up next Florida 10k wpt event. Time to turn into a live pro Online poker is gone but you can still play live and that's what I will ddo for the next couple months. Sundays I will play some golf and try not to worry too much about poker. I think this is only a temporary situation and online poker will be back hopefully sooner rather than later No idea. What to see what happens I guess

Haha shes a good wife Im lucky to have her I would be jealous too! Haha about your 2nd comment I hope you are getting better but you never know :) I think alot of people are playing on autopilot and I know I tend to do it sometimes as well. If you 3bet me and it is a close I will usually fold and if Moorman 3 bets me and its close I will shove so I just think that is a natural tendency and something that you can use to your advantage and by the sounds of it you are. If you continune to 3 bet him I think he will catch on. Gasol is a good basketball player with a ton of talent but he is ...

1. I don't like the trade I think it hurt our chances big time. The cs needed perkins to beat LA in the finals I still think they will get to the Finals but Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol will be too much for them to overcome without that big horse in the middle. He brought toughness and size something the Celtics need to beat LA . He was hurt and this was the last year of his contract and we werent going to be able to resign him so I guess management looked at it like that. 2. I think the Bulls are great. Huge DRose fan and think he is hands down MVP but all that youth will catch up to them ...

She is absolutely ridiculous. Such an unreal accomplishment. I am a huge fan! That is a great question. It really puts things in perspective for the mid stakes grinders and I think you made a great point. There is nothing better than competition and I have the same desire to compete against the best but I think when you are playing for a living your shots must be calculated. What I like to to do is when I am having a good couple weeks or a good month I will play more of the high stake tournaments that don't have great value in them but I do it because I want to get better and one way to do ...

Thanks Lirola! I had both of those thoughts going through my head during this time. When you go through a long downswing like that you def start questioning yourself. I had times where I thought I lost it but in the back of my head I knew I would be able to get out of the funk.

The bills never stop so I guess that keeps me motivated. When I was struggling my wife made me a vision board so everytime things start getting tough I look up at the baord and realize all the things I am playing for. When I am going through a big downer I find the toughest thing is falling to sleep at night but I think the most crucial thing is just trying to stay positive. It was great getting back to the top but I still got a ways to go and I am sure there are still doubters so I will just continue to try to prove them wrong and keep rising up the ranks. Poker is a very swingy game unless ...

1. Thanks bro. I wish I could give you some good advice that hasnt already been said but other than videos just playing hands is the best instruction that you are going to get. 2. Trying to make these big bluffs that may work in higher stake mtts but in mistakes people just dont fold. 3. Low end midstakes I feel like people don't like to fold so playing pretty tight ABC poker till the middle to end stages I feel is the best way to accumulate some chips. Playing good starting hands in position and you cant go wrong. As the buy ins get higher you can open up the game a little bit more and start ...

Thanks hopefully I can stay at the top for a while! Glad to hear you had a good Sunday lets keep it going. Yes I invest some of my winnings. I have started a SEP for retirement and I have some money in mutual funds, cds, and have paid off a good portion off my mortgage. I haven't come up with that genius business idea yet hopefully something comes to me soon. Unfortunately I would say poker will be my primary income for another 5 years but you never know. I plan on having kids within the next couple years so I think that will put a delay into my business ventures. Hey Joe, Thanks bro ...

Thanks Mark. I experienced alot of final table runs yesterday; 7th, 9th, and a few10s-12s so I know what you are talking about. It obviously sucks getting deep in big tournaments and not closing but that is just a part of the game. If you are getting chips in alot of tournaments, making deep runs you have to be playing pretty good poker so I just look at it like it is a sign of good things to come. As far as training videos I couldn't agree with you more I don't think they are cool.

Thanks herbsreet. I like to usually travel around and play a live tournament every month or two. I have do a decent job of managing my money so I have a decent bankroll set aside to play live events. I don't have any specific guidelines as far as taking shots live. I think so much of it depends on the player and their circumstances. For me personally, I will always set aside 10k for the WSOP main event every year. This is the one tournament that every poker pro has to play and it is so juicy that I its crucial to have all your own action. For other 10k events I may sell pieces of myself ...

We will have to grab a beer out in vegas. Lets make a few runs this year. How bout it' Thank you and not a problem. I think some players are naturally gifted when it comes to thinking about the game but I think the biggest thing is hard work. Its just like sports you have some guys who are naturally talented and others who have to work harder at it. A mediocre winner could easily turn into a great ...
