FWIW, I ordered the book the other day and just received it today; from Amazon. I think it took just 2 or 3 days to get here. I am in the US so I know that does not help the OP. But, it looks like a great read and for those of you in the US, you can get it cheap and quick from Amazon. I really enjoyed the first one.

I am 45 and play recreationally. I try to play fairly often, usually after the family is asleep. Overall, I am up over $2k and have an ABI of $14. Both are skewed due to a nice cash in this year's WCOOP for almost $2700. But, prior to that I was up close to $1000 in SNGs which were mainly $5 buyins on 2 & 3 table SNGs. I have been playing since mid 2006 and have worked to improve my game. It is lots of fun. I am pretty sure there are a couple of big time online players who are close in age to me. Phatcat (slimshaggy on Pokerstars) is 36 years old and at one time was in the top 10. ...

Free Training and Rakeback bonus?
Can you sign up for free poker training through Pocket Fives and still get the rakeback bonus through Pocket Fives' I searched the sight and did not find anything on this. I posted on the Training Sites forum but did not get a response.

I am not sure. I right clicked on PS software, PTracker, and PA HUD and they are all listed as run for adminstrator. I am not sure what the issue is. I do have Vista.

Bought a new laptop about 2 weeks ago, installed Stars and transferred Poker Tracker and have not been able to get the hand histories. I thought it might be me. But, it appears to be Pokerstars. I did see one other post on a PokerTracker forum stating they cannot get the hand histories. I thought there would be more posts though if this was a real issue. I am guessing we are missing some kind of fix to resolve the issue.

Adam, You have stated that you did not win money in the beginning of your online poker career. Now, that you have consistantly posted some great cashes can you elaborate on any time when you had an "ah-ha" moment and started to move from a break even/losing player to a consistant winner' Perhaps you can mention this both at lower stakes a few years ago and maybe more recently as an established pro' Good luck with the move to LA and all the upcoming events!

Online poker players are consumers. They win money and buy homes, cars, etc. which must be produced. Someone who is making a lot of money will consume and add to the economy. $18 B translates to $7B+ in taxes. That is tangible. Would pay for a lot of things. Could pay for a large number of our troops. Perhaps give them better equipment and save lives.

I like how 60 minutes said several times how online poker is illegal in the US. They said it was illegal in Canada too. They may have said online gambling, but all they showed was poker.

I was in a 27 player SNG just the other day and got down to HU. I got it allin after the flop and donked almost all of my chips. I was down 39,860 to 640. I was allin automatically the next 2 hands since I could not even make the small blind. I went allin a few more, picked some spots and ended up winning it. A lot of luck mixed in with some skill. But, definitely a lot of FUN!

My thought was that it was a poor play given the level and his stats. There was another player who wanted to report it and started the whole conversation after this hand. I don't have a problem not reporting it and probably will forget it by tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.

chip dumping vs really bad player
Another player said he was going to report these two for cheating/chip dumping. The guy who folded has very bad stats: per Sharkscope Snowman had -26% roi for -$577 of profit on 1259 games. Sthil123 has a +13% roi for +$7937 on 12,912 games. I think it is bad play. Thanks Adam. I appreciate that the access will not be restricted. Although I am not a high stakes player, I enjoy viewing the responses from some of the top online stars and rarely post to them. It is a great way to keep up with advanced concepts. Your plan for stricter moderation will still accomplish the same goals, I believe.

playing AK against min raise heading to the bubble
How do you think I should have played this' My image was reasonably tight agressive and the villain was entering over 50% of the pots. I did not think I gave her the right odds to call, given my range. Should I have called and lead out after the flop' It is easy to second guess once you see the results.
