Re:help on finding cheapest place to stay near AC poker rooms pretty sure u didnt read the OP. it said i was bound and determined to not pay by the nite but by the week only. and since uve never stayed in them hotels, its actually double what them signs say--its per person double occupancy--i know. so who wants to pay $50-60 a nite doing the week, and 2-3 times that much on friday and sat' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

help on finding cheapest place to stay near AC poker rooms absolute cheapest place in AC (or on any NJ transit bus nearby) that rents by the week instead of by the day--and always has vacancies' years past i stayed at the chelsea pub $100 a week--but thats no longer an option. once i stayed in vineland $90 a week--hell of a long ride though. should i go with whitehorse or blackhorse pike' or can i get one in AC itself' paying under $125 a week would be great, but prepared to pay up to $195. will be coming with a $2000-4000 roll and unless i find the BJ machines that pay 3-2 and let u count the cards--i'll end up playing nothing but $1-2 NL ... Re:going to vegas this weekend, will be greatly underrolled, advice needed but dont flame hi cds am at a motel in wichita, waiting to fly out to vegas tomorrow or saturday. u gotta remember this is a new day. 5-15 yrs ago i tipped the dealer 10-25% of the time, now i tip him 50-66% of the time. back then my roll vascillated between $500-1000 most of the time, now it vacillates from $1500-3500 most of the time. also im upping the bounty for anyone who catches me on a VP machine to $20 just to make sure i stay off them. each trip im better informed than i was on each previous trip, and know more how to make it. Re:bankroll busto! id done very similar dumb things this week, only differences are i never play HU, and im unable to reload on stars, cause they stopped accepting bank of america echecks. now the only sites i can play are AP and FTP, only sites i can deposit on. the amount i lost was about $1200. i kept playing higher and played bad while tired, trying to get outta the hole. going to vegas this weekend, will be greatly underrolled, advice needed but dont flame to start off, i wont have to worry about becoming homeless again if i go 100% busto cause ill be keeping my apartment in KS paid up and am now getting SSI when i never used to get SSI years ago. so even though im underrolled im somewhat protected. anyway i wanted to have $4000-7000 and instead im only gonna have about $2500-3000 after i pay for my plane and expenses in wichita tomorrow before i fly outta town and miscellaneous expenses, but i do get ssi of $606 on feb 1, and i dont have to be home, its automatically sent to my bank account. also ive removed almost all my money off stars cept ... Re:New Tourney on Stars... i win 8 outta 10 of the ones $5 and below. and 6-7 outta 10 of the ones $10-50. been mostly playing on cake instead of stars, so i can get rakeback and also the rakes less there anyway. i hate cake's software though, my sound keeps going dead on that site--unlike stars--and im always needing to close cake and then relog back in to turn the sound back on that beeps loud when its ur turn to act. and its easier to play 4 tables at once on stars than cake. i think the reason these are much better to make money in than regular sngs for me is the fact i dont do well at HU or in 6 handed ... Re:NY Times Ties McCain to Gambling its a damn shame that in this country women are allowed to murder their unborn children, and yet not be allowed to sit at home on their computers and spend $1 playing 1c2c NL holdem all nite. the democrats have their priorities sorely misplaced. Re(3): bankroll considerations which is best?? bumping this post, now that i finally figured out how to find it. have not gotten the opinions of near enough people for the wisest option of people who are playing with a relatively small amount of money for most of u, (but a relatively large amount for me and some people) of $1000-2000. its not right at all how the govt wants to force us out of our homes and into casinos hundreds of miles away where u cant play $5-25 buyin NL and the cheapest game is $50-200 buyin instead, how is that helping anyone whose gambling too much' i only can pray i will run this money up to $3000-5000 online by ... Re(3): How do players put in tons of hours in a week? i play like 12 hrs a day all the time and at very low stakes for very little pay, win about $10-15 a day only, because i am extremely careful about not going broke. i can have $1000 plus in my roll but still resist spending more than $5.50 or $11 on a mtt. and i dont like to buy in for more than the $5 min usually in a $5-25 NL game. (simply using good money management is all.) i cant win much this way but i have a 0% chance of ever going bust. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): bankroll considerations which is best?? i normally been playing online, not winning much, mostly playing non holdem games. however in casinos holdem in pretty much the only choice in some of them. i left KS with $1800 last july and ran it up to $5500 within about 3-4 weeks, but ended up losing it on BJ and video poker like a dumbazz. was playing on the riverboats in st louis evansville and at ceasers indiana. i always bought in for the minimum the first time, if i lost the 2nd time i bought in for a little more, and then if i lost again id buyin for the MAX of $200 or $300. and i did well, i won enough to get the roll as high as ... bankroll considerations which is best?? 1. splitting up ur $2000 bankroll into 40 $50 buyins in a $50-200 $1-2 NL LIVE CASH game. 2. splitting up ur $2000 bankroll into 10 $200 buyins in the same $50-200 $1-2 NL cash game. this is for a game in a brick and mortar casino, NOT online. the reason i ask is i choose to go with option 1, i think its very responsible bankroll management. once i double my money i get out and go up the street to the next casino and start over. however people who dont know me well enough, and are used to having alot bigger rolls, always tell me im a Fool not to buyin for the maximum. i disagree. i feel me ... HELP ON FINDING CHEAP BLACKJACK GAMES where can USA players still play for low amounts like 1c-99c online now that UB got rid of all the BJ games under $1' i complained like a sob to that site about it too. i was using the martingale double up system, ran $80 into $1100 playing the cheap 2c limit using the martingale never did hit a series of 15 losses in a row to wipe me out, and now the minimum bet is $1 which total screws me cause no way can i double 15 times now. YES I KNOW I GOT LUCKY< but i still wanna know a site catering to us players i can do that again on. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(1): Starting a Bankroll for Live Play i played all the time for years on 500-1500 in 1-5 stud and made 33-50 a day (1000-1500 a month) back then 10 yrs ago it covered my room and food. dammit the way holdem took over, cost of living has gone up and the way so many casinos quit offering stud. holdem is a MUCH MORE exp game and very few casinos have live games with just 1 $1 blind although i know of 1 or 2. takes a bigger roll.
