There have been unconfirmed sources on twitter and in a college newspaper who have quoted people saying Kyl/Ried have an agreement on poker and want to add to the payroll tax extension. There is a thread in NVG and Poker Legislation on 2+2 with mote details. That being said there was a similar thread before the last tax extension bill although it was pure speculation at that time. Either way now would be a great time to help make a push and get involved in the PPA daily action plan.

I think smarter people than me will have to research the gambling laws in each state. But for instance you may not legally be able to open a porn shop in Utah but that doesn't mean porn websites can't offer subscriptions to residence of Utah.

I believe this isn't just for Nevada, if your state doesn't have laws against it nothing is stopping a poker site from offering you intrastate, interstate or international play. It seems like it played out like this. Ill/NY wanted offer residence the opportunity to buy lottery ticket on the internet so the asked the DoJ to clarify the law since data packets for internet sales leave the state even for intrastate purchases, because that is how the internet is setup. Reid/Kyl also asked the DoJ to clarify on intrastate poker. The DoJ answered Ill/NY back in Sept but didn't make it public or ...

Jones 4pts 1 reb 1 asst 3 shots, that is the main reason ky lost. Jones stood just outside of the paint next to the free throw line and did nothing the entire game. I think Jones Is good but just don't get wtf the problem was, bad games happen, shots don't go down, but he looked like he didn't want to be there. Indiana also played harder and wanted it more. I would think in a regulated enviorment age verification would be easy. Right now if some one is caught playing underage you may get banned from the site until you are of legal age. If there were federal regulations you could actually make it agaisnt the law. So if I setup a poker account and let my 8 year old daughter play and she gets caught I could face criminal charges, like if I bought her beer. The same could be said for MAing the fact that you aren't breaking TOS you are breaking the law would deter people from doing it. But I doubt he's against online poker for this reason, he was ...

I am suprised more people don't care about this. There has been a lot of talk recently about the possiblility, even if it is slight, that the Barton bill or roumored Reid/Kyl bill would be attached to a larger bill by the end of this year. So when he comes out against online poker at this particular time, it could greatly hurt our chances of getting something passed.

77s on the button at Final Table of $40k Magnolia Classic 240 reentry last month.
I actually like flatting, folding to shove in this spot most of the time unless you are at a table with good players. The problem with 3b a hand like 77 here is you are much more likely to get flatted live than you would be online and you are going to be in an akward spot post, although you will be in position. But what are you going to cbet/f or check behind if a couple of overs hit. So I don't mind flatting in position and playing post.
