Bovada Add on glitch - anyone else experiencing this?
Yep Andy had this happen a few times in the last handful of sessions I've played. I think I usually click the addon button it greys and looks like the 'ok' box is trying to come up, but doesn't, then you never receive your add on. Tried closing and reopening and there's no addon button after you open backup. I usually just curse in chat for a while, glad you made a thread. BS I tell you, BS!

Bodog Software up date..
yup completely unplayable again for me today after same thing last night. I emailed them last night asking for a refund and they gave it to me as a tourney ticket. about to do the same again. they said to close the client then reopen it. I've dont that, several times, but every time i get to play exactly one hand when it reopens and then it goes back to nonsense lag.

well nutz/hebs i like the overall ideas, but one reason why bodog will never ever have as big of fields/large of prizepools as other sites is because is because all the backed players out there are unable to get funds via transfer from their backers like at other sites. Nate, something came up that was really weird on Sunday. I was at the final table of the 100k, and i was dragging my bet slider all the way to the right to shove, but it was not letting me max out. It was only letting me bet like 220k at 10k/20k when i was on like 230k, it was only letting me bet up to the 1 bb before i was ...

looooool on the good side, the 10k on sundays is cool, nj. also, wtf is up with the show ur hand option' you can choose to show either of your cards but not both' wtf, if anything it should be you are allowed to show both before u show one.

Bodog Update 7/22/10
i cant believe they got rid of the max button. i hit pot then bet three times last night out of habit, trying to shove, cuz that's where the max button was. need the max back, i hate sliding the bar all the way to the right to shove, ugh. also, the structure improvements were very beneficial, but bodog doesn't seem to understand the priciple of why we want a smoother structure. i like that they added the 1200 and 1600 levels, but they still need a 250/500/50 level (2500/5000), between 2/400 and 3/600. i think that level is the worst level omitted by bodog, not sure if there are any other ...

1- wonderful...i really like this as fish think in terms of absolute hand value. 2- thank god! 3- see 2. nice going broski!!! i noticed the registration is open for 1 hour on turbo tournies same as regular ones...should that be like 30 instead' seemed kinda ridic to buy in with over 2/3 field ko'd.

hey nate just wanted to say nice work! looks like you've put a lot into this and for that thanks! really really glad the structure is improving and hand for hand - maybe now the ft of the 100k will have avg stacks of more than 15bbs now! and synch breaks on the bigger tourneys for Sunday is also really key. one thing i think would help bodog out a lot is a better satelite system. I really think they need a lot more sattys to all their sunday tournaments (particularly the 100k and $500 wsop sat) with at least one gtd seat that are not the stupid last chances. like a 100k sat with 5 seats ...

story of my recent life, OP. I have an ok job at an investment consulting company. It provides a salary of about 40k+good benefits, and is good for my resume/future. Problem is, it sucks the life out of me. Although i had to have decent credentials to even get my foot in the door, a monkey could probably do my job. I dont really enjoy the work, and find myself studying poker at work like all day long (and i still get good performance reviews!). it almost feels like work is taking away from my potential as a poker player as usually i don't have enough time/energy to grind after work more ...

Their tournaments NEED a structure change. The125/250 level with no antes is absolutely ridiculous, add a 25 chip ante to that level for god's sake! also when you get deeper, the bb goes up 50% to go from 500/1000 to 750/1500, or later from 1000/2000 (or 10,000/20,000) to 1500/3000 (15,000/30,000), then to 2000,4000 after that, making a 100% bb increase over 2 levels...that's fucken trash and needs immediate attention. forget the stupid 750/1500 level and throw in the 600/1200, and 800/1600 levels, and the 1200/2400 levels.

i'm interested, but mainly in the tournament portion of bodog poker, and i think others would perhaps do this better than I would. I nominate Nate Avenson. Or possibly zubs1aa. They would do a kick ass job I'm sure.

can someone explain what is so great about the droid as opposed to other smart phones' some guy at a live tourney i was playing was going on and on about how much better the droid is than the iphone, etc. and i wasn't really paying attention to him but he seemed v knowledgable and to have a strong conviction about this.

dude just fold pre. when someone makes it 5x or even 4x for that matter they are basically telling you they are not folding pre. AQo does not do very well against a 'never folding pre' range. plus you have 30 sometihng blinds in a well structured tournament. and flatting AQo to 5x raise OOP, that is the nut worst line.

Wishing all the best for your friend. One of my best, best friends is in Kandahar, Afghanistan right now. I talked to him on new years eve for the first time in 3 months since his last call(be prepared for calls from a 3-4 digit number at ~5am if your friend calls you). With the new Rules of Engagement they are in harms way more than ever. They can no longer fire warning shots at potential enemies--They can only fire their weapons when fired upon first now. Absolutely ridiculous. My friend is out in convoys patrolling, and they have no recourse to keep potentially dangerous people away from ...
