A bud of mine told me that if you pay for school with your poker money then its a Tax write off like he said up to 25k is only taxable for 1500 any truth to this' Or is he just avoiding paying his poker winnings

the new software wont allow me too for some reason, the first hand was i had about 9k blinds 60/120 guy utg raised 440 i reraised to 1.k guy from button shoves 4k, guy utg folds i call. I flip over aa he has 33 flop A 9 6 turn 3 river 3 Just wondering his thought process Then a little later in the tourney he kept raising my big blind so i pick up a6 sitting with about 6.5k he raises 600 from button i reraise to 2.4k he shoves I call I have A6 he has A3 flop 2 10 10 turn 5 river 8

poker question
is there anything as running bad for life in poker. I mean i hear all this talk about variance and crap and when it comes down to it I havent final tabled anything worth while since feb. I play consistently and keep getting sucked out timer after time. In the last month i should have final tabled about 10 tables on fulltilt which to some of you isnt a lot but when your not hitting any at all and keep getting it in 75/25 what are you suppose to do'
