What does he have to make this play?
Oh and jomatrix was limping about 70% of pots and I was punishing him continually...that might have been a factor as well in my decision

What does he have to make this play?
Well interesting comments. I honestly thought that 99-AA were quite unlikely hands to over limp an UTG limper (just seems like trouble for most big pair hands to limp there and play a 5 way pot if another limper and blinds come in). My image is semi aggressive but I hadn't shown many hands down. I had also raised a few limpers in similar spots a couple of times so his potential to try to squeeze there seemed high. My take on it was that he likely has AK (the speed of his reraise plus I would imagine QQ-AA to reraise a little smaller to give me rope to hang myself). I am worried about JJ ...

Vegas Bachelor Party Ideas
So I'm heading to Vegas in a week for my bachelor party (which is coinciding with a friends bachelor party, St Patty's Day, March Madness and Spring Break). We have a few things lined up but I'm open for some new ideas. Bear in mind that I don't have tiger blood like Charlie Sheen so doing rails of blow off a hooker's ass probably won't be something I'm into.

Stars 3x Turbo Rebuy Satellites - Would they work as normal tourneys?
So with WCOOP going on PS has been running satellites with deep starting stacks, 90 minute rebuy periods and a 10x rebuy add on and 5 minute levels. I find this structure very interesting (being as I rarely have time anymore for 8+ hour tourneys). The 90 minute rebuy period with the giant add on encourages more action (rebuys). My question is if this would work as well in a non satellite format. I have never started a petition or anything like that but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in PS adding this structure to their regular schedule. Thoughts'

Rush Poker tourney....
Just reading the Scott Fischman article and had a minor brainwave. I thought it would be cool if Full Tilt made a rebuy tourney where it was rush poker during the rebuy period and then normal MTT after the add-on took place. Just an idea.

Staking/Being Staked
I feel I am playing well, at least my A- game lol...variance is inevitable and I just want to allow myself the comfort of playing without having to sacrifice my current lifestyle and pay for everything that I need to. That being said I am still on the fence about the idea and wanted some feedback to help me decide. I won't accept a staking deal unless it is something and someone I feel comfortable with and they feel the same with me.

Staking/Being Staked
So I've played my whole poker career on my own roll and prefer to do so but recently a few things have changed that have me thinking about possibly being staked. I've bought a house and now have a mortgage, I am not teaching full time this year (for now at least), and I've met an amazing girl who I am going to get married to so I have to budget for a wedding with ~200 people or so. I'm far from busto but I feel like I would like to worry less about variance if possible and be able to safely put aside money for my house and the wedding without worrying about a sick bad swing in ...

How can I maximize value here????
I did exactly what you would....made it 5k and got a fold...I just ended up wondering if I squandered a good spot to slow play. My hand is super disguised and if he has AQ or something and hits in the river I get paid....hindsight I suppose

This is an easier spot to jam since it is 6 max. You have a dead money in the pot with the limper plust the blinds....I can't ever imagine folding or just calling to be profitable

Fulltilt support WTF!!
Well I feel a little better. I have been temperarily banned until I send them proof of my identity (likely because I had to change computers late in the PLO FTOPS yesterday....obv wasn't a multiaccounting or account purchasing or anything since it was me playing the whole time). I've sent about 7 emails and have not received a response.

OH H/L HAND IN FTOPS
If you are going to lead out and fold to a min raise why not just check and call a flop bet and wait for a safe card on the turn. If no flush card hits you are only risking 3.5k of your 13k stack IF you are quartered (which is not very likely as that raise seems to be an A4 with spades type raise....hell it could be a weird line with A6xx with nut spades and you could maybe get him to fold on later streets). You have outs to an A anyways for nut nut.... Just my two cents

Omaha Cash Games bb/100
Hey all...been playing alot more cash games lately (don't have too much time for multis since I'm teaching full time and coaching a volleyball team). I was wondering what a good bb/100 rate is for omaha08 and how many hands constitute a good sample size for it. This month I've been cleaning up but I know it is a very small sample size. I've been playing mostly 15/30 and 30/60 but the last few days been playing 50/100 and 75/150 and doing well...what is a sustainable win rate for these levels'' Thanks

Thanks to those who donated...
There were a few P5ers who donated to the Canadian Cancer Society after I pledge 10% of my sunday million money. I want to thank each of you (sorry I didn't get around to this earlier but I was a little busy). Stars was not able to match my $11k donation and the response I received was along the lines of not wanting to set a prescident (sp') about people doing this and then donating to bogus causes. I was a little bit disappointed that they didn't match it but I understand their position and I know that they do a tremendous amount of charitable work on their own. Here is a link to a ...

Pearljam1012 deep in million
Ok...for anyone interested here is a link to the facebook event I've set up for the head shave at my school. Pokerstars hasn't got back to me yet but I hope they do soon. On a side note, I went to work today without sleeping cause I was far too wired to go to bed. Since I was playing cards so late in the million I didn't have time to completely plan for one of my classes. We had been learning about slavery and imperialism in Africa. Since I didn't have much planned I just threw in a video for the last 30 mins of class....I thought Amistad fit the topics we were talking ...

I've emailed pokerstars about matching my donation and possibly covering the event in their blog so I'm crossing my fingers.
